This needs a video demo, because as far as I can tell it's just CMT weapons in Bloodgulch with randomly placed AI.

Take vid of more advanced, improved AI, and maybe I'll download.

One question: What did you mean by "realistic AI"? If you wanted intelligent AI, the entire map should NOT be covered with firing positions; rather, the firing positions should be placed intelligently. If you wanted human acting AI, then yes, the map could be coated, but you'd have to do some stuff in addition, guarding at guard position and several magically see scripts to complement the positions.

*Facepalms* Please, play the map. The Firing Positions are placed in an organised manner, play part 2.

Playing the map won't let me see the firing positions. For instance, in your screenshot on Chillout, there's a brute / elite / spartan thingy standing in the middle of the map.

Playing the map doesn't answer my question about whether they're meant to be intelligent AI or human AI. Since it's covies vs humans, I'll assume they were meant to be intelligent AI. In that case, I can admit that you made a valiant effort. However, this still could use a lot of work.

Why: What is this:

This wasn't the only case in which I noticed where AI got... stuck.

The AI also tended to ignore me, and didn't really do a good job on concentrating on enemy AI as well. They concentrated more on running to another location rather than shooting anyone in their immediate proximity.

And the magnum is IMBrokeRU's animations. Just something you should add to the creds.

Well, seeing that pic, definitely not downloading now. If 3 AI all bunch up stuck in a doorway, well, I'd hardly call that "perfected" or "intelligent"

They're all grouped up in one place, as were the spartans. The occasional AI that were brave enough to go elsewhere ignored everyone around him as he tried to make his way to another room.

:P i can make encounters better then this.. the chillout mod is horrible ai cant jump to pillars cant go through telle porters ( i think you can make a trigger volume where they do go through telles)

they seem like normal retard ai to me. they stand still and shoot half the time, they dont strafe, that dont jump, and they dont throw nades. if u can fix that these would be pretty good

Actually, that's one of the issues. If you want better AI, scripts WILL make it much more "interesting". Also, just because the AI don't get stuck in those places for you doesn't mean they don't for other people. AI are random; their actions are random. You can post a video showing what they're like for you, and I can post a video showing what they're like for me, and both videos will prove both our points.

For instance:
-AI don't dodge grenades
-AI shoot at me, then halfway through killing me, they turn around and go shoot other people
-AI don't shoot while moving
-AI are far more interested in other AI than players

Don't deny these, because I have a video recorded that shows all of these flaws, ready to upload.

Sure, you have firing positions, but without correct AI squad setup and efficient tagging, you'd need scripts to improve AI combat. As for AI throwing grenades, it's in the actor variant tag. Scroll down to grenades and make sure the velocity is a whole number. The other fields are self explanatory.

The whole purpose of my posts are not to flame the map, rather, show that you still do not fully understand AI and their nuances. I had originally posted to ask your definition of "intelligent AI", which you advertised the maps with. Downloading the map showed me that these were not fully intelligent AI, and that you needed a lot of work. Don't deny the "bugs" and defend your work, as is your instinct. You've spent a lot of time on this; of course you'll try to defend it. However, you still need to listen to the criticism, else you'll be falsely advertising "intelligent AI" again and again.

Definitely the former of the two options. AI are nothing like the creator wanted them to be like. Wait for the next release when the creator has actually put some more effort into it and it doesn't seem like a bunch of AI and CMT tags tossed randomly into Bloodgulch/Chillout.

I have already decided this is not worth a download, especially since you didn't even bother to compress it in a .zip

If you want additional stuff, script ai jumping, weapon switching or powerup use. I could do it if you want. Then again, I'll be doing something like this soon for Halo 3 maps with ai, so just wait.
