Would it be possible at to make the halo 3 campaign for halo custom edition? Including all of the bipeds and guns. And possibly rip the dialouge from halo 3 as well? This would be awesome if its possible and would be done.

Is it possible, yes. You could make a replica. The only downsides would be an outdated physics engine and time wasted. Will it ever happen? Not unless someone puts the extraordinary amount of effort into getting everything created and in-game. So, hypothetically, could it happen? Yes. Will it happen? Probably not.

would you settle for halo 2's campaign with halo 3 remade stuff? Because I'm sure that's possible. Question is whether or not people would take the time to make that, though.

but seriously a Halo 3 campaign remake would be extremely hard, if not impossible to recreate. Keep in mind that the Halo1 engine cannot take as much polies and as much tagspace as Halo3's engine. So theoretically you wont be able to make an entire BSP set for one map.... Let alone include the tags for the vehicles, weapons, characters, sounds etc.

me and my friend were working on trying to get the first part of a level together and found it took us well over 5 hours for just the first 1/5 of the map. now to do that 10 times over plus cutscens would take soo much time and i myself would never ever do that without money behind it

There may be a couple mods, but there is no official Halo game on Source.

We REALLY need a thread that is stickied. It should say something among the lines of....
" Halo 2/3 campaign in Halo CE = NO!!"
