You have a good map, and two people making it. So you make a team?
Get a load of content before publicly saying your making a team, i bet in a month, whether you still "alive" or not, no one will even recognize the name, and your team will be collecting dust.

I wouldn't say that. I have half of the textures ready and the other half I am currently working on. Since I am going to try and make textures similar to those of halo 2 & 3, it shouldn't be awful.

That was really just something we were messin with, but if I find out how to do it, it will be done most likely. We do still use the flashlight though so...

Ah, ok. Try adding some cover, like covy crates or field shield generators. Would help a bit instead of having some massive wide open space.

That's the plan. :) I'm leaving the populating up to SOS and Nick But we will make sure that those areas get filled in. Out of curiosity, are there any kinds of forerunner scenery out there? Maybe something more forerunnerish would look better than covie.

You should definitely play it. But citadel is actually just a regular MP map on halo 3 BTW. Bo, I have considered using some of the defaults, but that will be mostly for trimmings and such that is harder to unwrap. I already have the glass floors and top windows done, as well as the walls and flooring. At least for the textures with the most covering, I want to try and make some decent textures. Oh also... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTXPPYBcpE0 For anyone who does not have nor has played halo 3, here is what I can never hope to achieve. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubLpzdxbm74&feature=related Edited by eliteslasher on Mar 1, 2010 at 10:01 PM

Impressive. I think I will like this map. Tell me, what modeling technique did you use to model the forerunner so well? I'm Vert modeling and I find it sometimes to be a bit challenging to have everything straightened.

I'm Vert modeling and I find it sometimes to be a bit challenging to have everything straightened. Umm. Techniques? I wouldn't know how to say. I didn't think it was all that hard to model it. I just observed forerunner architecture sort of. I couldn't really say how I came to this model. I personally thought for me it was OK but compared to most other people who make maps the modeling is probably easy. Also by no means did I go for the exact layout of Citadel. There are a few dramatic changes and some things I just didn't add at all. I don't want it to be an exact copy but I like citadel's gameplay so I think this is a good type of map to do.

Citadel is the best H3 map in my opinion and the jumps are a big part of the gameplay. Can I suggest you make some tactical jumps to get around the level?

I don't like my old barricades so I will be replacing them with this. A close reproduction of the barricade used in the center of the bridge in narrows. Will look better once textured but is going to be rough to texture nicely.

I needs a bit more angle on its edges, mainly on the inner area before you reach the center and before the forerunner looks completely perfect.

I have a question for the community. For something that you use more than once in a BSP, Is it proper to just not fully attach it to the floor and just have numerous of the same thing sitting like a quarter inch above the floor it would SUPPOSEDLY be attached to? Because If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't that also save polys? That is what I am considering doing with the barricades so I don't have to unwrap them a bunch of times.
