Is it possible to make the snow/fog like in the mw2 e3 demo? All snow maps i see are just some light snow falling, never white heavy snow or blizzards

It's possible with weather, but it'd require some clever particles and sprites.

Or maybe just modifying some wind.

you could modify the particle system to put out more snow, i forget if it does it in layers. then use a heavy fog tag like b40 but cut the opacity in half

Adding more particles will drop your FPS, easier to create a new snow sprite bitmap.

i'd like to see how this turns out, particularly if it's done that way because i have something in mind involving cherry blossoms in something i'm working on.

still, it could be done the other way if you set a cut off a cetain distance from the player where it only shows snow within a radius of the fov, instead of snowing all over the bsp at once. kind of like the opposite of opacity distance in fog.

add a few more particles then use a heavy snow fog like in b40, except make it closer to the player.
