I spent 13 minutes typing up that post, previewing and previewing it just to make sure that all of the points I made came accross in the correct manner and then you go ahead and sully all of my efforts by screwing up my quotation! From what I can see it looks marginally okay...again you need to fix the clashing and hide your nodes/markers too. You accidentally made it black btw. The upper joints which connect the limbs to the body are doing too much work which makes the overall animation comical rather than sinister.
Reduce the amount of rotation and increase it on the middle joints.
The shock absorbtion effect is good but the direction which all the cilia (feelers) follow needs more randomization I think.
Will you add a collar?

More people would have been encouraged to download your ported rips.

How did you make those textures? ummmmmmmmmmmmm Photoshop? Everything is looking good Halonimator. I'm glad you are working on modular hallways. They make level design quite easy. Edited by XxPopeAK49xX on Jul 18, 2016 at 08:09 PM

I got a little inspired by the whole H2 porting bandwagon, then someone linked me a H2 montage, got even more inspired, play a couple hours of Halo 2 PC and then got bored and did this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXtP7j2BkCE&feature=youtu.be Sorry, cancelled (hey, I was just bored, okay?!) Maybe I'll do a few more weapons for now, but after that I don't intend on doing anymore for a bit. I don't plan on starting anything. Halonimator, if you want these shaders PM me I guess. Quote: --- Original message by: Jesse I don't see any LODs But they see you. Looks neat so far, I'd like to see a few more purple or pinkish hues on the crevices and cracks of the bony exo-skeleton, I think it would partner up well with the yellow. The feet I think should use a dark yellow or just a subtle hue shift or a very light gradient change, I figure since the feet do all the work they are more than likely to get grimy. Love how slimy it feels though! You must have needed to screw around with the gloss for ages to get that effect. Here are a few creature examples which are comparable to the freaks I remember In recent and not so recent movies, hopefully they'll help you on your way: Here is a great example of subtle colour variation; Notice how the body retains a relative steady orange with darker under tones but from the upper joines down to the legs the hues blend in to deeper browns and minute blacks. This mud demon from Riddick probably matches your biped the most.

Really good suggestions there. I totally forgot about the Riddick pit creature... and the texture patterning on there is killer. I still have so much to do but yeah still trying to lay down my basic coloring layers. I've been experimenting with some purplish hues for a while and can't figure what pattern/where on the body they should go that would be the most fluid... I'm sure I'll find it eventually! Anyways, here's the progress for now... (keep in mind I still haven't done hardly any texture work on the legs minus just basic coloring). The main additions in this update is the tongue texture, and the creatures sensory organs(where the eyes would normally be) have been painted a more fleshy color.
