Yeah...you've seen this probably a thousand times but here is my/our final version. Works for 1.09 Halo PC, SP and MP on all objects.

I wrote it in C# and Brandon is converting it to a C++/DLL which will then be released soon.

Here a small preview...

Enjoy.

Anyone else sense that with a rotate feature this would be alot like forge...

i c wat bungie did thar with forge. oh wait no i dont >:|

seriously though, would it have been so difficult for bungie to add simple things like grid and rotational snapping and single axis motion and rotation to forge? the lack of these things make the whole system incredibly cumbersome to use

During testing I added 0,90,180,270 degree snapping already :P

i love you already anyway, but can you make a field where we can enter our own numbers for custom snapping?

Could i get the C# code for this? Not to steal the idea. I may be able too add another, "better" physics engine to halo. The fact that you can manipulate a models world matrix is giving me ideas. Check out some of my videos on facebook and you will know i am legit. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=app_2392950137&ref=name&id=100000029795138

To add a new physics engine... would require more than this app provides in terms of reversing.

Yes that is true. The only reason why i want to look at the code is because i am not familiar with memory hacking or whatever he is doing too access the variables. If i know how too access the world matrix plus other vars i can make a class for them and override halos physics engine. Or just allow it too do its thing then move them according to the new engine. Yes this is possible because i am very familiar with how physics engines work. I could also access the bones using a custom model class and add ragdoll.

Just so you guys know, JHOW2 is the guy I believe who attempted to recreate Halo using the XNA Game Studio code.

He did get pretty far into it, got bloodgulch in with textures (although not a hard part) had a sun WIP, and thats when he stopped.

I suggest you let him have the info, doing that might make his project come back to life again.

Well i didn't necessarily give up. I kinda found it to be pointless "for reason too long to describe" and just moved on to making my own game. I didn't want too copy halo. But now that i am 100000 times better than i was then, i have decided that if i know how too access variables in the halo engine itself i may be able to do some cool stuff using all the knowledge i have gained.

I was really bummed when you stopped working on that. Even a simple bloodgulch remake would have been awesome.

Sorry I am not giving it out. I already added physics to the objects that have physic capability in Halo by default and I desire no more.

http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/downloads/GravityGunV3 BETA.rar

It still has some bugs (which I know how to fix..but I'm going to do it when I have more time)...Halo PC 1.09 only.

k, whatever. Just trying to make halo better. I didn't want "your" code specifically because i have no interest in what you are doing. I just would like to know how to import halo's dll's. If you, or anyone else could help me it would be much obliged.

lol... They don't import them... if anything the best you're going to get in that manner would be to take a crack at Open Sauce.

There might be other methods but all i know is that you need a wrapper for the dll and you use this too import it. [DllImport("DllName.dll")] public static extern "return type" dllFunctionPrototype("types and parameters");

As I stated previously... download the hce Open Sauce sdk: http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17758

and see how it's done.

Only problem is that Open Sauce is done in C++ not C#. Way different, but whatever. I give up. If he wants too keep it to himself thats fine.

Oh wow dude...

you are telling me you want to add a new physics engine but you don't know that managed dlls can't be injected into unmanaged exectuable files?

I'm not using any DLLs nor can you inject C# DLLs into other processes. I don't give out my code because if someone can write a physics engine this should be a piece of cake for him.

Like i had said before i am not familiar with how you manage interactions between 2 programs. I use XNA too MAKE games. I can only try to add a new physics engine. Don't dis me because of the fact that i have never tried "hacking" other games. That is why i was asking for your help. But now that you have made yourself out to be a jerk, i will not waste my time.
