Quote: --- Original message by: SlappyThePirate I just say that. 1.00ce can be blamed on mexico.
And this app can be blamed on Mexico as well because I am right now in Mexico...oh btw it's a lot cooler here than in America.
Next time but some brain into it. Pirates will not be able to join the servers even though they appear on 1.00.
Quote: --- Original message by: OrangeJuice Or you can just use HCEPatcher to disable version check, so that it appears on both lists safely and without any B$ waiting period.
You can join MooseGuy in the No-Brainer-Club. Even though you disable the version check (which is btw done in this app already) it will still only show up in one version.
Quote: --- Original message by: WWLinkMasterX Great Idea, but with version changer, the only reason people still play 1.00 is because their keys are invalid. So the vast majority of a group of the people you're trying to attract, won't be able to join annyway...
That's true but we'll see how this turns out. It is up to the server hosters to remove their CD Key Check (in case they want to test a custom map or something).
The Problem The most common problem in Halo Custom Edition is that there are players playing on two big versions (v1.00 and v1.09). The latest version has fixed several exploits (mostly DoS) but the only crack that exists is for version v1.00. After v1.08, SafeDisc was stripped from the original executable and thus a CD is not required anymore. Still the majority of pirates are still playing servers on v1.00.
Our Goal Our goal was to unify both versions into one by having the Halo Custom Edition Dedicated Servers appear on both server lists (v1.00 and v1.09). This is done by having the server switch every interval its own version and afterwards sends the information to GameSpy. It might be for a short period of time that the server will not appear on one of the lists. Our tests have shown though that this small sacrifice still leads to a higher player count inside the server. http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/?p=466
Enjoy.
For all you trolls: CD Key Check was not removed.

Every router I know can open ports.
http://portforward.com/
Otherwise get a Linksys or D-Link.
Done.

As requested..here it is:
The best Devmode Patcher out there http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/?p=118
-devmode is always enabled by default without restriction -no more CRC checking -removes the "Corrupted Halo.exe" error
This has been released a long time ago but many people are having trouble to find one that works (because some are poorly written, bad documented e.g. what version) so that is why I will repost mine.
I ask you to not upload them to HaloMaps due to updates I might do on them. If you cannot hold yourself back please give it a proper title and description and credit with a link to my site ( http://www.vivid-abstractions.net).
Here you go...Halo Name Hack for Halo PC and CE 1.09. Your exe must be unrenamed in order for this to work.
http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/?tag=name
No it's really easy for me :P I still have to make some small changes and then I will release for CE and PC.
Quote: --- Original message by: JHOW2 Like i had said before i am not familiar with how you manage interactions between 2 programs. I use XNA too MAKE games. I can only try to add a new physics engine. Don't dis me because of the fact that i have never tried "hacking" other games. That is why i was asking for your help. But now that you have made yourself out to be a jerk, i will not waste my time. The only jerk here is you. You have NO CLUE what you are talking about but you pretend to be able to create a physics engine.
Quote: --- Original message by: XlzQwerty1Quote: --- Original message by: Molonky500 anyway this can work for custom edition? Yes it's very easy.
Oh wow dude...
you are telling me you want to add a new physics engine but you don't know that managed dlls can't be injected into unmanaged exectuable files?
I'm not using any DLLs nor can you inject C# DLLs into other processes. I don't give out my code because if someone can write a physics engine this should be a piece of cake for him.
Sorry I am not giving it out. I already added physics to the objects that have physic capability in Halo by default and I desire no more.

It still has some bugs (which I know how to fix..but I'm going to do it when I have more time)...Halo PC 1.09 only.
During testing I added 0,90,180,270 degree snapping already :P
Rotation has already been added
Yeah...you've seen this probably a thousand times but here is my/our final version. Works for 1.09 Halo PC, SP and MP on all objects.
I wrote it in C# and Brandon is converting it to a C++/DLL which will then be released soon.
Here a small preview... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnkLUns-gfc
Enjoy.

Or just patch your Halo 1.09 exe with this: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=29938
The second installment in my Flycam series. This tool allows you to create 360 Fly-Around Videos/Images or Panorama images. See below for examples:
360 Fly-Around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjga9uN5RQM
Panorama Picture: http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/downloads/PanoBig2.jpg
To create a 360 Fly-Around:
1. Go into Camera Mode (debug_camera_load) 2. Set the Center Point by going anywhere on the map where you want your Center Point to be at. This will be the point where you will be looking at all the time during the 360 Fly-Around. 3. Set the Radius Point. This will be the outer point that determines the radius. 4. Optionally you can define the delay time (read: speed) between those points. 5. Click the "360" button.
To create a Panorama Picture:
1. Go into Camera Mode (debug_camera_load) 2. Set the Center Point by going anywhere on the map where you want your Center Point to be at. This will be the Center Point from where your camera turns 360 degrees. The angle of looking is also considered. 3. Set the number of steps to skip. You will end up with 360 divided number of steps = total images. 4. Set the delay time between each of those images. If you use Fraps you can make it sync with the application by going to the "Screenshots" tab in Fraps and enable "Repeat screen capture every # seconds". For instance put 2000 into the delay time and 2 seconds in Fraps. 5. Click on the "Pano" button and also click your Hotkey button for Fraps for Screenshot capture.
Enjoy.

Quote: This allows you to actively create and save camera destination points ingame, then run the camera through those points
I would really appreciate if you would visit the website.
It's still in the beta phase because I did not make it entirely secure e.g. clicking some buttons too many times.
Overall it has improved since V1 because now...
...you can save and load your camera paths ...fade with FoV (trust me it looks awesome) ...overall it's faster
V2.1 Updates: ...variable countdown ...sets camera from the beginning to the right position ...custom filetype filter ..."go to last point" button added ...removed Win7 Taskbar Progressbar support ...added tool tip information (hover with your mouse of textboxes)

Enjoy.
