Hello my name is Theunknown453 and I am new to the halomaps community. I have been working hard to get into a carrer in game design and was told that as a requirement when applying, must put in some models I have made. So one of my friends told me to make some halo 3 models. He then told me about halomaps and that I should show my work in the forum, so here I am :)

Here is one of the models I have made and the one dedicated to this forum :)
PS. if there is anything you would like to see improved PM me and I will do my best

because I am a new member on Halomaps, they would not let me post an image in the forum so instead i have posted a link :)

That's pretty darn accurate. All it needs now is some texturing. Then add the weapons and the vehicles. Then your done.

Chamfer your building, something, that nobody does, be unique, and most accurate, and the main buildings on the end are wider.

Keep it up, good model

Theres no need to chamfer, its just going to increase polys.

If your going to increase polys I would suggest adding to the cliffs and terrain.

What? No, the cliffs are part of the level. The outer ring can be part of the skybox though.

If you're doing this for a career I'd rather see a CUSTOM bsp/model/map.

Well the actual model needs work obviously. Use the cut tool on the terrain and just smooth it out.
Then the covy dropship and most structures need something else too. I agree with the chamfering though, at least on the bigger buildings.

Can you post up a wireframe image of the model?

why are you scared that it has to many pollys bo? i think it looks fine maybe an increase in some pollys would make it more h3ish.

So if I add 25 polys into a flat plane, that would make it h3ish/hi-res?

It is great to see so much advice and such from the community. I will do my best to work on the model and make it even more detailed and accurate. Unfortunately I do not have time to do any renders right now but i should be able to get some posted by tommorow. Thanks for your comments :)
