The bsp I played not to far back was extremley far from polished and the bsp could honestly look more... ruined per say. Same with the shaders and textures, they both needed to be better. There should also be some kind of heavy fog surrounding the area of the map like in the H3 version.

Well now how could you be so sure that the version you received was the latest version? Because I sure as hell didn't give it to you.

He played with me and it was with the one i edited but it didn't have the new structure bitmaps you wanted, which is why it looked like crap.

Yet when you showed me the updated version, it almost looked practically the same; hence everything I just said apply's to it as well.

I could care less who's actually doing the work on the project, so whether you are or not doesn't concern me the least bit. The information I've given to Jesse a while ago through xfire should be more then enough to make the map visually better and for its gameplay as well.

In my opinion there is no such thing as a community for a game, the players and modders are too fragmented for that, i believe that no website or forum can be called "The community". Sure most of the people on halomaps are immature, but all of the people on my xfire are experienced users, and i remove any noob who thinks he is great.

Release a default map that relies solely on scripts for the fun value, that's what I did with Timberland Firefight C:

I'm not sure if your doing the textures for the map or not dis, but someone needs to also go back on the textures and add an alpha map to the metal on the texture to define where the cubemap should shine, and other things like that. They also need a good normal, which it didn't seem like they did on the beta I played.

I'll send one with the new bumps and textures, but note i haven't worked on the structure shaders yet.

Work on the structure shaders first then.

The only ones i have ever given a build of any sandtrap to was Gamma (cause he was making an ai version) , Higuy (cause i wanted his views on the shaders), L0d3x(cause he's lodex) ImbrokeRU (cause i needed to send him asp stuff and it was the only populated BSP atm) , Elefant (cause he tested with me for luls)

Pics of the game just cause i took some.

We also tried out Turf from Halo 2.

Did someone stick Nugget?

@ Dwood's original comment which was:

Wasn't the original Sandtrap going to be unprotected? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of why Grunt was making the map in the first place?

Or something like that.

Grunt's not making the map anymore, is he?

And here lies the problem. I want to respect gwunty's original wishes, but people already have all the h3 weapons that were going to be used in this map.

SMG? out
Assault rifle? people have it.

Battle rifle? people have it.

Spiker? Captus had it.

splaser? people would rather use CMT's.

shotgun? theres that crappy "leak" but heres one no one really has (besides ODX and ASP.)

Brute shot? Gwunty never gave me the model. Icee has the model and animations, but i think he doesn't like me.

Sniper rifle, well no one has that, or at least not the one i edited.

Hammer? it was never gonna go in this map.

Equipment? it was never gonna go in this map.

Magnum - Model released, animations haven't been. You can use newb's "perfect h3 animations" because the ones I did as a custom attempt aren't "h3 enough".

Yeah, Jesse, you need to make the hole for the grav lift a lot smaller. The smaller it is, the less room the player has to be shot off in the wrong direction. It should be like, 25x35 max units, 5 units wider than the player on each side.

If he modifies the BSP, the lightmaps would have to be redone.
