The more restrictions on a map, the less fun they are to play more than once. ie replay value with the more the player can do. E: Havent we had this convo before?

Maybe so, but note that Sandtrap is a multiplayer map, which is a lot different than a single player map. How much more replay value is there in this map if snipers are allowed to hide on the very edges of the map, out of range of any other weapon? Your arguments for replay value don't apply here.

This is all I could find from the build I have now, which is probably outdated.


Weapon balance won't be hard. I can get near-perfect replications of their functionality. Will it work well with CE's garbage netcode? No. But that's what damage modifiers with the gametypes are for, right?

A mine wouldn't be too much tagging, I wouldn't think. Just make a new weapon. The projectile it will fire initially will be the mine before it's detonable. After so much time, have it form into it's detonable stage using a "detonation" effect to spawn another projectile. As for the physics and the detonation when anything's nearby, I wouldn't know how to do that, I ain't a collision guy.

No see, you'll have to look at the map first. It's huge. It'd take me an hour or two to cover the entire outer region with flags and triggers. The scripts you can copy and paste, but the flags and tvols...

That's what i meant. Like in the tutorial map, you can't go on the edges of the map, but grenades and guns can.

I made the final hud that will be used.

man it havent even been a month sence the last post, but it seem like 2 months, man time flys

when I play Halo 3 a can barly see the visor, u should try to get it like that
thats the wrong reticle
