(the people that know, shhh.) Question: Can this go in halo CE? Question 2: If I were to multiplicate these models by 50, would it still be able to go in CE with out any issues? Reason I did this, is cause people are telling me they wont go in halo ce. :3

Well, the obvious answer is no, but if that was the answer you wouldn't have posted it here. So, I'm going to go with yes.

You might be able to get them through tool as a model, but to use them in a practicle application, no.

You should be able to use them but if you where yo use them modular. They would have to be welded.

He baked the details in, so it looks super high poly but in actuality it's only 15 polies.

Even not baked it would go in, it's just that everyone is using their microwave as computer.
For me, it'd work perfectly, and a few others.
You might have bumped it josh, but those parts need to be textured individually, slapping it on a plane and baking it won't make it look good in Halo.
Nice talk, now I want to see it textured and with proper shaders ingame, THEN you will get a cookie, k?
K this texturing should be funny, texturing bumped surfaces makes the job only harder, especially one that is MADE of bumps Edited by BeachParty clan on Aug 20, 2009 at 10:42 AM

What are you talking about? This is how the gaming industy does it for new engines. Also same process was used here: To \/ Quote: K this texturing should be funny, texturing bumped surfaces makes the job only harder, especially one that is MADE of bumps I don't get it. You don't texture the bumps. You texture the -DIFUSE-. Edited by Joshflighter on Aug 20, 2009 at 10:56 AMEdited by Joshflighter on Aug 20, 2009 at 12:06 PM

The thing he has on there now is just a bump map. The higher poly can be made into a ambient occulsion map, which is basiclly black and white but shows off the bumps and detials. That's baked onto the lower poly and you can use the oa map to make and texture the diffuse. The bump map would already be made, then getting this into halo would be a no problem job.

I don't make complete models existing of bump maps, from what i see is that every part is seperated thus need different texturing, i just make simple bump maps to give detaills, not build them up with bumps so my textures are build from a plain wireframe unwrap. always are, always be. I did it once, making a model from bumps/texturing that, and i suck at it, but i didn't thought of doing what you said
