Replayed it.

More things to do.

1) HUD. Change it. String lists as well.
2) Shotgun. Doesn't play enter and exit animations. Open weapon tag, set weapon type to "shotgun".
3) Turret does absolutely nothing. What's the point of that?

ascension firefight is not dead. update time


new hud, blue halo 3 odst hud. it might not look too cool but it is original

thats all for now, i am remaking objectives and also, i would like to have some help on the map, maybe a ascension firefight team? i dont know. i took a long time off from it because it got boring working on it. if you would like to help make the map better, please contact me. my xfire is shadowslayer195

I see no difference between the old HUD, except for a new shield bar. You're still using H3MT's grenade icons and weapon HUDs. Also, for your FP arms, those bitmaps look way too dark. Doesn't look good in my opinion. Font is decent though.

I'm willing to give you (or release, which I've been planning to do) my Plasma Pistol and Recon SMG animations if you fix the damn HUD, and stop using H3MT's leaked content:





The Plasma Pistol needs some new particles though, and the SMG needs to look better...before I actually release them both.

He's using a Halo 3: odst outline, it's just very faint.

Yeah redo the HUD if you will.If you do make the ODST outline maybe a little more noticeable.

I just finished playing this map to the end, and I have a few things to say about it.

AWESOME!

Seriously, this just doubled my excitement in regards to Halo 3: ODST. The silenced SMG was fantastic, the biped was well detailed and the AI assaults in the later rounds really made for a good challenge. For the final version (I'm sure people have already mentioned these things), I have a few ideas you may want to consider.

1. The AI should spawn all over the map and not just in the centre.
2. Weapon unlocks should be spawned at different points in the map.
3. The issue of surviving the fall off the map should be addressed.
4. A Sniper Rifle and/or Rocket Launcher should become available in the hardest rounds.
5. The AI need to charge more (ODST has streams of suicidal grunts, I think.)

I can honestly say I've never had as much fun in a SP map than I did with this. I'm definitely going to get the final version. Can't wait!

Wow, if you were blown away by this then your gonna faint at the sight of firefight portent.
And also, try out mud skirmish, it's basicaly a better version of rio firefight- http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4903 .

I'll give you mine if you take out the H3MT leaked weapons, and improve the overall quality of the waves.

that would be great, i will find some other weapons instead. i have always wanted to add Ifafudafi's plasma and dark energy guns, h3mt leak is crap anyways. if you need my xfire for anything, its up there somewhere

When i played it i couldn't find where the weapons spawned so i just mauled them all.Then the sword elite came out and owned me...I didn't really expect him coming.lol

cool, for now i am completely overhauling it, i am removing all h3mt leaked weapons and adding in ones on this site. i am also adding some scenery to make it look cooler like i put in a crashed odst drop pod. i need a hud and some weapons now. hopefully gamma will let me use his hud

Put the HEV pod near the player spawn. Also, I'd like to see more of the waves. I don't really think the scenery matters much.

FP arms leave a lot to be desired. Wayy too dark and bright, with too much contrast, which doesn't look like an ODST.

ODST drop pod placement also looks strange.

Waves are showing a bit of improvement though. Spend a lot of time on the encounters and firing positions. Strategically spawn AI in locations that would fit the class of AI.

In my opinion this looks mediocre at best. The enemy spawn placements aren't interesting or logical, pod placement looks out of scene, it seems as if your choice in tags for weapons is somewhat bad. For the first release when I saw the leaked h3mt AR I stopped being interested in this. Not to be mean but you need to think this out more. I mean wouldn't it be odd that enemies just suddenly, out of thin air, popped up in front of you? And isn't it common sense to use good tags that aren't leaked and crappy?

What you really need is more effort and common sense.

You want good weapons? Search for them. You want strategic locations for AI? Think of them.
