IT was better than the first one, but I still ran out of ammo with the smg :/
And when you go on the side of the rotating thing oposite of the starting point and fire towards the center, the shots seem to hit an invisible wall.
EDIT: Oh, and I failed a jump once and fell off the map, but i didn't die. You might want to put a death barrier there or something. Edited by Karrde on Aug 23, 2009 at 03:28 PM

latest build as of a hour ago has a death box set up all around the outside of the level, i replaced the unlockable plasma rifle with a spiker. i can give you another beta after i add about 3 more waves

SMG Was really good bu i agree with Karrde not enough ammo. The zoom has no spread so can you fix that? Are you using your own spiker or someone elses?

I liked it. I've been playing it alot these past couple of days. I thought it was a little easy though. I'd make the ai smarter. Also try spreading them out because spawn killing was pretty easy. I do agree that the smg didn't have enough ammo and that ammo should respawn for it, but I was actually able to play through without running out so it wasn't a big deal. Death barriers need to be added. At the towers (idk what to call them) I think it'd be a cool idea to put turrets, or maybe cmts old portable chaingun (i think it was released). Also I didn't really like the spawn. I feel that the opposite side of the map feels more like a base. That way you could add danger when running to the banshee. Like make the banshee spawn where you have it spawn now and maybe spawn the wave before you spawn the banshee :) Oh and also if you're going for the odst look this map is unprotected and has a nice hud http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=82510&sid=e39c1cb0a119b0b58d356d8246abf2c4.

i enjoyed it and i loved the smg but when i was firing into the cenrer bit the bullets sometimes dflected of a invisible wall and im a bit :( about the no dev part but overall i give it a 8/10 and to go with the smgs odst look maby you could replace the pistol with this: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4749(i mean the odst pistol in the file) Edited by sos on Aug 25, 2009 at 05:41 PM

sorry guys, ive been in school so i havent been able to see the new posts. I really like the odst hud so i have decided that once the final is one, i will recrete the map into an odst editon. while im at school, please post your ideas on what you would like to see in the odst edition.

probably, but it would have to be severely cut down because multiplayer maps have a very limited size, and ai dont sync online anyway

Could you consider putting a sniper into one of the towers at wave 10 for those uncomfortable with dogfighting banshees that hovers and cam hit you wherever you fly with your banshee. Srsly, it's a pain on legendary. A bit boring when I did the map the 3rd time. i just really wished a ground combat option. Oh, and the hunters are frakking dumb. And they're too weak (or perhaps I'm just spoiled on CMT hunters and Halo 2).
But else, this is a very promising map. Propably the best concept for a firefight, except Gamma's.

update time: sorry, fraps was being gay so i couldnt record. but i did make you guys something. I have created a special version of this firefight with only 1 wave, being wave 11. you start with a silenced smg and a pistol, and there is a mauler and shotty already placed for you. there is also a turret somewhere on the map. this is meant to be a test of my new wave system, and my bug fixes. i will not upload this on halomaps, instead it will be on megaupload. What exactly is new from the old beta? Apart from more H3MT weapons, jackal snipers, and a floating dish thing that people can walk through, I don't really see what's new. You didn't fix the string lists, HUDs, or much else that I pointed out before.

Well I just played it and I'm going to say I enjoyed it. But yes it was extremely easy the first 9 waves; each area the waves spawn are easy to nade-spam. The ai also did seem a bit "dumb" and I agree with having jackal snipers (which know you said you put in). Though something to mix some things up is instead of having ai spawn in a place; how about having dropships drop them off in different areas in the map? Yeh, beat level 11. It was actually hard at first. Those Jakal snipers are a real pain. In the final I recomend putting them in after you're awarded the sniper rifle. And don't intigrate them with other enemies until a round or two of just fighting them.

It does not make sense.

HUD is horrible (believe me i know).

I played Wave 11, and it was a definite improvement from the original. I do have to say thouhg, the random placement of the AI didn't seem right. Other than that, I thought that everything else was okay.
