The writers from the "Halo" movie project moved on to district 9. That's why they use the exact same thing

I thought i hear the halo movie project is going to be back up though?!

Just because a science fiction move made eggs that look covered with a membrane doesn't mean they are copied from halo, People have thought of eggs like that years before halo

no no you misunderstand. I'm talking about the things in the cage fight. They are exactly the same as the flood infection form. Sry my bad with the terminology. but look at them they are the same for sure. But if these are the guys who were working on halo, maybe they just took the CG from that and put some of it in District 9

It basically looks like the flood infection only a little leaner. I've been trying to find a pic but no pics of that thing yet that i can find

No thats wrong. The crew had a budget of 45 million to work on the movie. Not one price of one piece of equipment can cancel a whole movie

Okay...... Neill Blomkamp was given the job of directing the Halo movie. When the halo movie was put on hold, not cancelled just put into limbo ala Duke Nukem Forever, Blomkamp the redirected what resources he had into making District 9. However, there was a rumor last week that Spielberg was in talks to take over the Halo movie as it is on hold. These are rumors though and have neither been confirmed or denied.

Its know being produced by Steven Speilburg, which means this should get going. (actually told to the public not even a month ago)

In an interview Peter Jackson said that District 9 is made from the ruins of the Halo movie.

Although the Halo movie is cancelled one brave director who loves games is thinking about making it STEVEN SPIELBERG.

I've seen the movie, and I know what creatures your talking about. I can see why you say that, but imo they look more insectoid as opposed to fungal/jellyfish like the infection forms. Plus they have sort of like a tail (I think) which one used to kill the other one.

Sure and Halo hasn't stolen a concept from anything. It's totally original.

why? why debate this? District 9 was a very unoriginal movie. Those robot things looked exactly like the ones from the matrix. when it showed the humans inside, it looked like it was from iron man. Yes, the aliens looked like flood. Can we not just leave these sorts of things in the movie theater and not ruin forums that are completely unrelated?

This is too true. It's Ringworld meets Aliens 2.

And no, they don't look like flood spores. They look more like scorpions than anything. I doubt they were remnants of Flood Spore CG.

All I know is that if they make a Halo movie they should ask the people who made district 9 to help because all the aliens were realistic I mean maybe someone could tell me if the aliens were computer made or guys in suits cause I couldn't tell. Also Blomkamp should be in charge of the Halo movie cause I just have a feeling Spielberg would screw it up somehow.
