Advancebo should be shot. Fact.

(Sorry fo rthe random outburts of believe my opinion is higher than everyone elses)

That reminds me of somebody advancebo...

Your horrible with models so stfu.

My models werent HP at all.

2k being most isn't HP.

Oribtal elevator was, becuas eit's for crysis.

Now if it doesn't look good because ur PC lags cause u have a seuck_A** Pc, not my fault, not anyone elses.
For small little minor objects they are a bit too high poly for an ancient engine, but they aren't crysis-poly-high.

Advancebo, I am afraid to break the news, you're an unfunny newfag. You don't understand how to troll properly, so you just use look like an idiot. Working on it elsewhere would be appreciated.

2k is the poly count of a 2007 game prop. Your pc does not render every single poly in the map at once. There is a reason why clipping and portals exists. So even if your have a 40000 poly map, what you see is what is rendered(there is a lot more behind this).

You fail at trolling and I agree with everyone against you.

Time to hit puberty and learn how to cooperate with people. I'm almost positive you need it in later life.. /sarcasm

For the record:
I am pulling references from ODST; however, I can model things perfectly well on my own. As such, I'll be using my own models for Gridlock.

About Advancebo, seriosul, just stop. You do indeed fail at horrible trolls, you always say something about "loling" or say opposite of what your opponent says is fact. Stfu, or gtfo. Or be like most members and make useful posts.

That is not saying much. However, you do not actually put that into use much, as you can see by looking at the original quoted post.

What are those dark blocks?

Squarish dark blocks: "Tombstones" from the Hang 'Em High geometry. The place is a Peter Marks memorial.

Rectangular dark blocks: TV screens, currently showing static.

Don't do anything crazy with the televisions please, nothing super bright.

I wasn't planning on showing anything but perhaps a static screen; animations other than static can be so fickle, I had to scrap an entire gameplay concept I had for this map originally because the animations for it didn't want to work properly (also, tagspace, which shouldn't be an issue anymore as I'm using a clean scenario file for this one).

@ English Mobster,
You may not check this site or account anymore according to your profile but I am really hoping your email is still linked with the site. I stumbled upon your map http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=28394 while looking for ODST concept art and I was intrigued by what you have made here. I am a member of a forging site which for halo reach (not trying to advertise for other sites here). I was wondering if you would let me work with the concepts you have designed here (and with the same concept art that inspired you) to build a similar map in halo reach. I hate plagiarism and would really like to receive your permission to make this recreation. I will give you credit as co-designer upon posting the map on my site. I hope you read this and say yes. If you would like to see my work and to get an idea of what I can do in forge, go http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-forge-discussion/131325-super-sexy-triple-map-preview.html .

Hopefully that will inspire me to let you work with some of your ideas. Thanks for your time!

Sorry to necrobump and bring back tears about the project. Does anyone happen to know this guy's email or xbl gamertag so I can contact him? If not, what is the general policy on using this idea? It's based off of previous concept art so it's not like it's totally his work anyway (we all belong to 343 now anyway, haha). If I credit him as inspiration in my post and as long as I don't copy his ideas too directly, is it ok to proceed with the reimake without his direct consent? I hate to let this project die altogether when people could be enjoying it (myself included) on another venue. But, I don't want to plagiarize either...

OK, I will try that. Thanks a lot! Any opinions on whether this is fair game to make an "inspired by" map giving credit to Mobster for his design?
