i'm modding/modeling for fallout 3 now it gives me more space to make story lines and add dept to characters
so i havent been on those forums for a while becausei was figuring out the G.E.C.K. (the progrma used for fallout 3)
but thats off topic :P
how much of the actual map have we seen so far?
because i saw a cliff with a structure in it so will you be able to view up high from a cliff or a skymap like hte one in b30
or will you be modeling something down there to look at?

Anyway, higuy, do you mind taking some updated SS of a person in the middle of the map? I'd like to have some reference on how big it is.
This looks like it'll turn out to be a great medium-range combat map, complete with scenic central arena. 8D Your opinion has no say in the matter. Since you dont know whats actually going on. Its being discussed on xfire. Actually, my facepalming was because of your inability to stay on topic, and your insistance that you're correct, even though it does not matter. Apparantly, you exibit some sort of arrogance mixed with immaturity, which results on pointless disucssion. Even if you're correct on w/e you say, Its not your map. Constructive critisism is usually accepted, but thats clearly not what you are doing. More like insistant nagging. That and your inability to take hints that you are to shut up/get back on topic. Anyways.... *Ahem* I can't see a waterfall anywhere. Is it by the ramp thing? so does it fall from the ramp, onto the oval shaped thing, and then to the large bottom floor which then allows it to spill downards? And is will the glass be shoot-throughable, or impenetrable?

The water looks sorta flat... Any chance of making it have more deapth and poofyness? And is that second shot taken while falling off the edge? 8D Oh, and how are you going to activate the light bridges? "press E to activate light bridge?" Sorta like this: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=28365 ? That would be really cool... You could be fighting someone, and suddenly cut off the light bridge power, and then they would fall down to the lower platform. Edited by Vastanus neshtrog on Aug 18, 2009 at 01:20 AM

I have good news and bad news Good news is that the lightbridges are in and looking great (this is what it looks like up close, the blue stuff moves around, looks cool) Bad news is that you can't turn them off or on becuase tool hates me and I don't feel like setting it up, and there's a possibility of bad syncing for some servers.

make the map a whole ton brighter. The textures should also be less gray, bordering more towards white. The arcitecture does not really fit in with Halo's normal lighting and texture schemes. It needs to be a stainless steel/white paneling/glass creation.

Heh, well, he won't know what to change, unless we give our opinions right? Yah, the map looks sort of . (like, not bad, but not colorful and such) It should be a map! Make the scenery and buildings beautiful and stuff. For instance, arn't garden's supposed to be sunny? Looks like those trees are in the shade. Edited by Vastanus neshtrog on Aug 19, 2009 at 07:05 PM

The finished project should look something similar to this: or at least the lighting and textures anyway. Edited by Higuy on Aug 19, 2009 at 08:38 PM

That's not the model or a model he made. There's no way in hell Halo would be able to render like that. Even look at the pool of water. It's more Halo 3-ish or the game that it came from-ish.

Yeah. The textures and lighting is possible in Halo. Also, that map is from Unreal and its custom. That is were I got the inspiration for this map.

heh Well, me and dragon finished texturing the entire bsp a few days ago. The only thing is now we have a bunch of error's.. :|
And no, there probally won't be a public beta. I've only let good friends who I play CE with have a beta, and we've found it to be really fun actually. Don't worry, you all will have this map soon enough.

It's not that I don't know how to solve it, its that tool is retarded or im just blind. I gave the map over to E3p0. He's going to be fixing the errors for me becuase apparently he can find them easily. So until thats done, there really isn't to much to update about.

Hey Higuy, make sure the bsp is on editable mesh before you export. I don't know why, but tool likes editable mesh better. Once i made a scenery, I exported it as editable poly, and it didn't work, then I exported it as editable mesh and it worked. Edited by halopro77 on Aug 22, 2009 at 01:28 PM I know, thats not the error.
