lol nice. Anyways, then if Halo CE can't play any BIK files. Then how the hell did Halo trial play a BIK video at the end of the silent cartographer? It has to be possible. I'll go and do some digging around. Hopefully I can find out how to do this.

Maybe at the End of the trial Bungie Secretly Taps into Youtube and you et to see that ending video. ooooooooooooor Maybe it is actully just gameplay thats scripted into it taht you the player triggers with a set camera.

For an animated cut scene on a wall you would need to compile texture's together into multiple bitmaps compressed into one.

For example, the AR's numbers.
You would just do some stuff in the shaders to make it scroll. Dano did the same thing with a rick roll sign.

You know what? Forget about the ending cutscene. I'm just going to make the part where you jump into the FUD. A cutscene, it will be easier. That is all said and done. I will not bother with the BIK idea.

Even better idea. everyone already knows what happends at the end so spoof it up a bit make it look like hes about to hit by putting slow motion and dramatic music. but right before he gets to the ship it misses and he falls down below.

Don't think so. lol In the middle of the last jump. I'll have the time stop. Then have the camera do a 360 around the warthog. Showing the player jump into the FUD. Once the camera completes the 360 around the warthog. EPIC!!!!!

i like slayers idea. And you idea too. Put both together. Make it that the camera angle achieves the idea into the player head that he would make it into the ship mo matter what and have a close up with the edge of the cliff and the warthog wheels. then BAM! suddenly falls >:D

Unless someone wants to provide multiple angles of reference for each area from Halo 3, this is never going to get modeled.

Why do you think that? It won't be 100%. But it will be custom as well. A custom BSP. I'm going to make it similar to Halo 3.

Who said anything about animating? lol Every biped, and vehicle will be made by someone in the community. I'm going to use the H3B spartan from Spartan_094. I will also be using a custom skinned Halo 1 warthog. Which are already made. I'll be using HDoan's flood. So all I really need to do is. Script the scenery to fall to the bottom of the map. That, and model the BSP. Which ultimately is just a big box map filled with scenery. You won't even be able to tell that the map will be a box map because of the size. That, and i'll have an animated skybox.

modeling the plates should be relatively easy. Just set up a template and you can scuplt to your hearts desire. Then there is the matter of the structures, but you can just draw those from other BSPs. Cliffs are last. The just select all the plates you want to be animated and copy them, delete the originals, animate, and export to scenery/device machines.

Will do. I have to wait until I get back home to start modeling. Since the PC i'm on is not mine.

OK, since I'm going back home this saturday. I can start working on this. First I need some ref pics. So I can get an idea on how exactly the ground looks like. Can I get some refs? I need some so I can start modeling the scenery. Which will obviously be the ground. So does anyone have any ref pics I can use?
