Not sure if this was already posted here but if this is any interest to you guys (Etherial at least) for anyone working on this:

CMT's uber old SPI model which was cut from a mod (SPv1 or SPv2 I forgot) along time ago.

In the second CMT thread on Halomaps, there was a picture of a Spartan III in the gunner seat of a warthog, while Master chief was driving. That thread no longer exists, however.

SPV2 does not have a release date, and no, you can't get it.

Nah, I only searched SPv2 up on Modacity because they had made an SPI armor biped and I thought I should post it as a reference for Etherial's SPI campain/mod.

Da-, I thought this thread died. And in a few days...

...WHAT'S WITH THE VISOR?!!! Looks like a... fishbowl. But it's definitely not EVA.

I always darn remember to work on the MA5C when it's going to be replaced by the MA5K(K is better than C like C is better than B).

Suggestions for enemies? Weps? Any assist? Anyone have a monitor death anim?

Problems with model:
-The helmet
-The straps on the shoulders are too small
-The gauntlets are supposed to be H3-Hayabusa-shoulders-style
-Why is there a power cell without shields?

But is that being too picky?


I'll giftwrap(texture) it myself, I just don't know how the texture goes around the model.

Active camo recharge needed.
Spartan Laser texture needed.

The pistol isn't exactly overpowered, it's just the pistol'd BR. We just expect it to be weak as a one-handed weapon. RoF tuned down!

Well,CMT stopped working on to to my knowledge when they cut it from the mod, and it's also an old picture, according to Gamma there was a better one (skined too/at least) that was deleted in the old CMT thread.

I thought Masterz told me that Beachparty was working on it but I PM'd him since he said PM him if someone wanted the model but Beachparty replied "PM'd" or that I misinterpret what Masterz said since he said that Beachparty was working on the model but I only misinterpreted the first part of what he said but I'm still confused of which part I really misinterpret or if I really did misinterpret anything or that I misunderstood everything which means *pant* that *pant* I have to model the *pant* SPI Armor without messing up the *pant* visor but I'm really *pant* confused so brb it's 11 in the *pant* morning.

You know, there's something called a period. And no, from what I read earlier, you don't have to model the SPI armor yourself. Masters was offering to give it to you, if you PM'd him. Beachparty PM'd him, because he wanted the SPI armor himself.

anyways, yes i got the SPI armor from masterz, but it's not fully textures, so i'm working on that too

and wtf, that untextured SPI looks higher poly than what i got?

don't really care, masterz prolly has other purposes for the better quality one

hang on i'll post a spi armor render in a sec.

Also, with a visor like that, I'd suggest bumping the FOV from 70 to 90

I could make the HUD, I just need a concept. Need a health bar tutorial, though. Also, should I make a gradient for the ammo meters or the usual like in H3?

Make them more ergonomic. H3's was slanted, and fit the visor. H2's had 45 degree edges, and H1 had curves.

Gradients for ammo is a fail method, cut off meters.

ONLY use gradients for stuff like plasma/health/shield meters, the rest should be done with blocks to avoid chopping



and ethy, i liked the first one most, but gamma is right, it has to be more... well just fit more, this doesnt look well even though i finalized the concepts in my head already

Gradients are easy, as you dont need to have a hard time trying to figure out the alpha information. (bias, value, scale, etc)

CMT does it, and it works fine.

i dont think you know why the reticules look the way they look like, there's a system to make one.
