ok just a follow up here, i WAS being sarcastic about the curved gradient thing. iv gotten at least 5 xfire messages with people telling me how to do it. i appreciate that because now i might actually be able to do it on my own, but it was a joke at my own expense... because i cannot do 2d to save my life
and my 3d "skills" are starting to fade too...

I thought you couldn't make hi-res HUD's, like how a Ui is 640x??? then upscaled.

Largest u can make a sprite is 512x512.
Any larger and it has to be 2d texture, which lowers overall quality.

This is 2048 and then it's downscaled.

Hi resolution meters. They all count perfectly, and were custom drawn and alpha'ed by me.

shield meter and outline for h3mt are made by me.
grenades are made by me and so are the numbers.

All of those origins are just awful. Who decided to make the hands and weapons block the whole player view? And be careful using that large bitmap for something so small in the HUD because mp maps have a map size limit around 130mb.

yeah I've been trying to get some at around 512 but some meters which i already alpha'd are 1024 and i really don't want to re-alpha them again.

The origins aren't awful, it's the effing thumb that still isn't fixed even after I've said to fix it dozens of times.

The reason you also think this, is because you are looking at them from 4:3 ratio, when HDoan designed them to be widescreen, aka 16:9, where trust me, they look much much better.
