I just made this Its a shield door like the one in snowbound on halo3.
but modeld for the b40_shape door way.
& now I need help! I need to make the projectile reflect off it.
how can I? Its a device Tag. It has to sides & has no collision ATM.
Do I need collison to have the projectile reflect off it?

Yeah man it needs collision to reflect projectiles... Yeah to make things reflect set it so for that spacific projectile or give the collision something like force field.... U can give it collision and still achieve the effect of being able to walk right through it but make it stop projectiles too.

to make it?

It is animated btw.

No, you would have to use the command
tool collision-geometry to compile the collision-geometry from a .jms

or is that gona cause my projectile reflections not to work ?

The ! symbol would make it Render Only, and I'm not sure if it works for collisions anyway. So no, don't put it there.

You'd have to make it a biped to be able to walk through yet deflect bullets.

What? so your saying I need to make it a garbage tag or a dead biped tag?

Right now its a .device_machine tag
I'd rather leve it that way.
Well I gave it .model_collision_geometry & now I cant walk through it
any idias?

It dosent realy matter what tag type it is to me aslong as the bitmap still animates and it works.

You could make it a biped. Similar to the way CV did his bubbleshield.

a garbage tag is exactly what you want. And of course it would look exactly the same. Except it would work. Use garbage tags, its like bubble shields and shield doors. Device machines are not.

Except that you cant place garbage tags in Sapien. And you cant use attachments to attach it to the device or scenery through an effect tag.

Well I cant make it a biped because sapen says I have to have a head and other stuff on it.
I made it from the halo beam tube tag. I just remodeld the b40_plasma door gave it the other side it was missing & re uvwed it so its not much diffrent than the halo beem tube .device_mechine tag. I just swiched out the model for mine. If I make it scenary the bitmap dosent animate wich is inportent to me because that was the hole point of making a sheald door. If I did'nt care then I would have made a stuped glass door
Recycle bin might not care but I do so back to square 1. I made the colision tag for it I need to know how to make it walk through & still have the projectile reflect off it somehow
so far I have tryed .scenary .biped .device_mechine
the orignal tag was the halo beam tube that was also a device_mechine thats the only reason its a device_mechine any way
I relize I could probly still animate the bitmap if it wear scenary but the peace i made did'nt animate it. I gess thats pointles anyway because I still need to figureout how to make it work.
so far all i have is a tag that looks like a sheald door
the final buld will have the plasma on it as well.

EDIT:UPDATE

Ok Well I just made it a Weapon & got it in game working with projectiole reflecttions & it also blocks grenades.
The bitmap is still animated yay!
so it looks & works well but I have a new problum.
for some reason the weapon is alot larger that the orignal .gbxmodel
I saw scale under mesige index would that have something to do with it being to big?
or is thare some way to fix this in the weapon tag?
its to big but I dont know why? Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I tryed that it did'nt work.

edit:

ok i got it working and looking good now
i made it a weapon tag and it works fine.
but i have a new problum
if i add it in net game equipment as item collection it workd perfect
but only problum with that is i cant see it in sapien

but if i add it in weapons i can see it in sapien only problum with that is it disapers after a min when the game starts

is thare any way to fix this?

no, thats how it is. You can't see netgame equipment, but weapons don't work in MP.

Just make the door like Water. Just with different bitmaps. You can go through, but the bullets can't.
