Thanks for the ideas on skinning an existing biped to become a redneck. This is a modified "Gman" biped.

Um, well, okay. I give you points for originality............

I loled. This map is the most origonal map I've seen in a looooong cat time.

Where'd you find that monster truck warthog? I want it.

It's Matooba's Hogfoot (and yes, I fixed the rear wheel animation) -and also his RPC hog.

Hogfoot is a blast to drive, handles predictably, but also tires/suspension is bouncy - (it was too bouncy, so I edited the physics as well to make it more drivable on this map).

Its a circular race track, with mudholes, hill climbs and ponds - just no noodling please (lol). Although originally designed as a race course, so far, CTF, Slayer and King have been favored. Oddball gets my attention next

Release: next week depending on beta test results - DocOcts aspen trees cause laaaaaag

currently at 24 fps on a geforce 5600, and 27fps on radion 9100x (trying to make it playable regardless of users graphics) what else causes the laaaaaag?

The "Beer Keg" is a teleporter . . . "whoooaaaooooh!"

The Moonshine jug is the healthpack . . . "gulp, gulp, burrrrp *fart* giggle"

Map is low poly - but I used snow as a material, then updated vehicle effects to make the snow particles "muddy" - right now, only 4 weapons: USP, Battlerifle (Killa) Shotty (h3) and the "Bloody Skull" (oddball)

could the mud-snow particles cause lag when lobby settings are turned low/particles off?

Also, "Beer-can Frags" and "Sticky Footballs" are the grenades - and YES, you can play catch with the footballs.

With the above vehicles, weapons - anyone care to guess whats causin the lag? (cuz i'm not sure if it is the wrap around mountains sky - will test it on bg tonight)

maybe the muddy water? could never get waves to animate on it.

I did update the gmans face to include a nasty scar (rofl) - and changed his hair from jet black to brown. Will update his eyes tonight - im thinkin one eye brown, the other silver (we all know that rednecks inbreed as a right of passage 'if she ain't good nuf for pa, she aint good enuf fer me!')

The doom-buggy needs a little mud on it - its just too clean, maybe some mud on the redneck too

No. Gordan was the guy you played as in Half-Life 1 and 2.
GMan was also in both games.
He is a guy in a suit with a brief case who, while you always seemed to be fighting for your life, was always perfectly safe (though, in the same general area), observing, as if you were a lab rat.
By the time you saw him, he would turn around and walk out of view.
From what I understand, there never is an area where you can contact/make contact with him, but some of the places you would find him were incredibly grotesque.

I hate that flag.

Many people forget what that flag means.

The flag has no meaning to me - other than a symbol of rednecks in general. Before any silly mamby pamby politically correct woosies get all upset - it does not mean anything - unless you make it so. If "your meaning" upsets you so, then you are kindly requested to go punch a politician in the nuts.

There is also moonshine, as this might upset AA members, they are kindly requested to go punch a politician in the nuts.

The monsterhog, notably an SUV, probably gets bad gas mileage, and leaves a very manly, and testosterone filled carbon footprint, people who care about this are are kindly requested to go punch a politician in the nuts.

The ATV is used mostly offroad, and tears up our beautiful land which might piss off our natives. If so, they are kindly requested to go scalp a politician - then punch him in the nuts and do a raindance.

To any others, who this map might upset, solely because they choose to take offense - are kindly requested to go punch a politician in the nuts.

If you are a politician whose nuts suddenly became a target for anger management stemming from cultural insensitivity, I have a rebel flag that might hold the right amount of ice, so you can cool off your cajones, have a swig of some moonshine, and let me introduce you to Cletus (he's the one playin the banjo) He thinks yer pretty.

While the politician and Cletus get "acquainted" - everyone is invited for a good ol fashioned hootnanny somewhere near the Hillbilly Mudbog - if yer special, bring a helmet.

Its not about perfecting or making a serious map, its about making something you visualize. When people here learn that, you all will learn to appreciate maps more.
