is it possible that just like halo 2, the flood infection forms can like go into the corpse of the fallen combat forms and then reanimate them, then after death they come out and do the same process?

Actually I believe it's possible. You (uhh) somehow make an infection form crawl to a corpse, then it triggers a script, then plays an animation and the "garbage" biped is changed into a Combat Form.

nope, in H1 when you see dead bodies, instead of mutating the bodies get deleted and get replaced by totally new bipeds.

Actually, if you can detect the health of a unit in an encounter, you can make the infection forms follow the unit if it's dead (health 0). Then make the script sleep for a reasonable amount of time (to allow for the infection form to reach its target), play your animations on the specified units, then set the health back to 1 for the dead combat form you want to resurrect. You'll need a script for each unit in an encounter though.

It is possible you would have to animate make a marine to be a corpse then do infection forms to corpse

thx but i asked for corpse reanimation halo 2 style in hce, not mutation.

besides i had previously set up a topic asking if mutation in halo ce could be true.

I'm pretty sure that once a biped dies, you can't refer to it.

There's a thing where h1 combat forms appear to be dead after getting hit hard, but then they just get back up. You could do something really cheap and easey where after a biped has died, a "resting" combat form spawns exactly when the body disappears.

As long as the biped has an object name you can refer to it, dead or not. It's the players and unnamed AI bipeds that can't be referred to once they're dead, because (ai_actors) and (players) don't list dead bipeds.

I'm pretty sure you can't revive a dead biped if you can refer to it though. I just tested it.
