I came up with these ideas over a period of time, someone might want to get them off the ground.
1. Objects you can take cover behind. Like in Gears of War. For example, a covenant cargo container. You turn it into a vehicle, add a seat which has an animation of the player hiding behind it, and it uses the players current weapon. Make it stationary, like a turret, but movable by explosions or melee, making it able to be pushed out of the way, like Halo2/3.
2. Flame grenade (or firebomb as some people call it, found in Halo 3). I don't know much about custom weapon/grenade creation, so, is it possible to createa grenade that when thrown on the ground, spew out the flamethrower projectiles things in all directions?

I'm not sure, but placing activation triggers on the walls. You press e, and an animation is performed, make you crouch behind it.

Ya, can't add more animations. So you're going to have to replace an existing animation.

Right, and when someone comes up to you with a shotgun and you're sitting in the passenger seat of an unmovable vehicle, you're dead. All it would do is make you an easier target. maybe you make a turret, with custom animations and put it on the wall like hes hiding behind, and make anims so he can look over the wall or to the side of the wall to shoot andstuff, but i think you could only use 1 type of gun

With scripts you can make him play an animation from another animation graph. So that adds 255+ more animations.

Turrets are vehicles. Make the seat like a passenger seat so you can use whatever weapon and throw grenades. The only thing, would the vehicles be invisible and placed by scenery, or would the vehicles actually be the scenery. If they are actually the scenery, then there would be problems with physics. Make it invisible with no collision model or physics.

Maybe it's just to see if it's possible. It doesn't have to integrate perfectly with Halo gameplay, what custom item ever has? It would just be neat to say that we did it.

It's pretty useful if people actually made animations of the chief jumping out of the corner at an excess of 30 M/h like he is able to in the books instead of these crappy slow animations that get you killed when you exit vehicles b/c you can't get out fast enough to avoid grenades, even though MC uses a crystal reflex MJOLNIR Suit...
