I was looking up some Halo 3 stuff. like how to forge a good map on a map that is not Foundry, and I found this:

I see H3MT is not really that lazy. I know about their Foundry and all, but this? I see you guys are not so lazy after all. I knew you would eventually release SOMETHING.

I always thought H3MT was lazy when it came to map making.

Uh-oh... I think I did something I am not supposed to... Sorry H3MT...

The gamerscreek one is still new. So there is less work there currently.

There are random H3MT updates, but on these forums it's all spread here and there, there have been multiple topics about the H3MT progress in general, and narrows mainly got mentioned as it's the only (leaked) map out there.
As i've seen so far, there are updates, but as mentioned, at it's own pace.
CMT also does it at it's own pace, but it just constantly updates and got more gossip going around, but they're both going steady as what i can see

And yea, narrows got oversused by now so it's kinda lame to use it now lol, i've done it aswell, and it's like breaking benjamin - blow me away, you get the point

I've seen Doan's new non-theatre mode hud (bolded one) and it looks nice (he's beaten me on that lol)


I have my doubts at some points, but there isn't much to complain about

Oh, the general lack of maps, if at all, even though they don't have their tags done, but that's the only thing i can think about, nothing else to comment on =P

nobody ever said it was an issue of laziness. the issue is that he is ASKING H3MT whats going on the map he found, and you guys are grabbing him by the nuts and twisting. its totally unnecessary

Some people don't read the entire forums. He might not have read about the leak, and it's natural for a human to be curious. All he wanted to know was whether H3MT released it, and he was complementing them on releasing something. It's just a misunderstanding.

from what i see, h3mt isnt going to be good, its alright to take time, but this much is just crazey...... the narrows, iv herd you guys stoped doing it, the sandtrap {leetest map of all time} i was sooo looking forward to it, but then i herd that u scraped it?, whats up with that...........

iv herd alot more, but im not sure if all of its true..... when will sandtrap, or narrows.

H3MT said so much, has started so much, scrapped so much, and showed too much without giving us anything, i'd suggest you just stop following H3MT before you get your hopes up too much, because they're going to do it at their own pace, a slow pace.
I'm not saying H3MT is doing bad, but they're changing too much to really be looking forward to... whatever they're making

First off, H3MT is doing better than ever, especially since Doan got his ass into gear and is actually making good Halo 3 copy animations. Disaster just made a great BR skin, and IVEE is in the process of an AR one.

I don't want to say anything else because it's really getting annoying how someone always makes some thread asking what H3MT is doing or why this is up with H3MT, then the thread turns into a sort of news thread and gains 20+ pages.

That's the point, everyone knows what CMT is doing because of the 20+ thread, the one on this forum, there are so much questions since all they have heard goes like this:
"You know, we should start sum mapping team"
"yea, something like cmt or h3mt"
"wut, who's h3mt?"
"ehh, they make h3 stuff"
"so, what are they doing now? i havn't heard much from h3mt"
"well... beat me! i only keep track of halomaps forums! CMT got a bigass thread about their progress!"

I mean, I don't want to read all forums like modacity and halomods because one team doesn't post it here, it's logical questions rise as h3mt does want attention, right?

I use ritalin, that is also considered drugs, but in my case they arn't =D

but anyways, by not giving anything, i mean maps, and the only map you gave is a leaked map, and since you say that we can't judge h3mt on that leaked map, that means we don't have any map to judge on, thus you gave us nothing.

About the topics, you are right, but there is a reason for that, ever wondered why CMT's thread is so succefull?

How about you grow up kid, i was just mentioning it, not attacking you.

I never said spamming is ok, I'm saying CMT has done something different that makes people not spam them, wich is up to you to figure out as that's your problem.

I think I can help you a little bit, grow up, making fun of medicine like Ritalin is not funny at all.

But whatever, if you can't see that you're picking a fight here wich gives reason to spam and give h3mt a bad reputation, then you have to start thinking about the whole "H3MT wants attention, but they can't the attention they want" concept

This is why I like CMT so much.

So back to the whole point it's about, even if you just started as mapping team, you can get a good starting rep, just keep working on it and don't stop after a good start, wich is where most map teams fail, they build a good rep and hang back, don't get lazy at it, making a topic at halomaps is not a bad step at all. If it gets spammed again, try figuring out why, and try to prevent it the next time.

And that's where you guys are now, you showed too much you say, and now you're hanging back and think wow we're good, don't stop there, keep on going, when you were new i had big expectations, all i see now is half done work and stuff for insiders only. Go public, throw ideas around, you'll be suprised how many people can react positivly on that

The map question has been awnsered, but he also thought H3MT was lazy, talking about that part isn't considered offtopic.
