Same drill as last time. Post your computer specs and you frames per second with "no vsync."
Pics.

The server IP will be "ts.wmclan.net:2302" (its a DNS so it will work with halo as a direct IP)

50 fps when looking at sky, roughly 5 when I look at the mirrored ice. :( Computer specs are in the other thread, I'll dig it up in a sec.

Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.90GHz
2 GB RAM.
Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family

I want to bump this thread, I love the work, sorry for not having made the vid yet, college is consuming my time...

I noticed that active camo is phail, why didn't the UNSC build their bases from glass? No not a glassified planet, but a planet of glass!
but anyways, the ice totally rocks!

If the camo was to be reflected by the glass then coding a shader for that would be hell. Having the reflection refract a second time while it is reflecting dynamically.

the real time reflection is nice, atleast something that doesn't use preset cubemaps, but that's a big bug yes lol, i don't think anyone will bother though, noone with active camo would walk on the open field, and for machinima it's a funny feature, don't bother about that...
i remember a map, with a floor made of glass tiles, goal is to shoot the glass beneath the enemy, and after someone dies the floor resets itself, it didn't reflect in that, but like zanzibar glass, doesn't reflect much at all...
i dont know, if you have time left you could break your head on it, but i dont think anyone will bother

RTR was only intended for the control room. Not really a bug because you're not using it the way it was designed to be used.

yea i first noticed it in the silent cartographer room, it's too cool to not use it in the rest of the glass though, it's something new gen eh? =P
so if we use this feature as new gen addon, then it becomes a bug eventually, but since it's not intended to do that as it's not the feature it's just an annoyance, right? lol my logic makes sense to some people, anyways i think it's fitting, the ice reflection i mean

Actually. There is a problem with having shaders with dynamic surfaces. When I tried to apply my bump map, It did not show unless I put a cubemap in the cubemap slot. So instead I had to use both the cubemap and the dynamic reflections for it. If you notice, the actual BSP geometry in the reflections are faded because of the cubemap.

Oh and DEE, can you make a mirror room like the ice? about 9 cubik meters hogs (that's as big as your cubemap 1 map, but a closed cube), it would be cool to have a glass room to show off models in, for my nanosuit model for halo for example, it's offtopic i know but just a tiny request =P 'cus i have no idea how to model such a thing

lookie how nice this one would be in a skybox
