they are a colony of separate organisms with no main nervous system, so they cant be infected by flood. That is why it takes so many infection forms to bring one hunter down: they have to do it by sheer damage.

actually, grunts can. They get turned into carrier forms. Hunters are just completely unable to be re-animated.

That is because only the worm parts can be damaged, most infection forms attacking a hunter is attacking the armor

I'm currently taking a small break from the campaign to focus on Project 2, my next SP project, but a hunter flood would just be a tank form that fell apart. However, I'm sure the flood would "possess" Hunter armor by filling it with biomass, like a pure form with armor. However, there is also that syndrome you get from being overexposed to plasma.

Look at Elites, they are always holding plasma rifles and plasma pistols...

I'm talking about the hunters having integrated plasma cannons on their arms. And no, holding a plasma rifle will not give you Boren's syndrome; the plasma is completely contained. It's inhaling or getting overexposed to a crate of leaking plasma grenades (aka Sergeant Johnson). Also, I'm sure over time Elites and most of the Covenant gained immunities to the syndrome.

The syndrome infects the person with a radiation-type chemical I think, so when the Flood supercell came to take over it was downright fried by radiated anti-bodies. That;s my guess anyways.

I'm trying to make the Flamethrower 3rd person. That way it is unique among other stuff in the mod.

If you're using the 3rd person method I devised, you won't be able to sync player colors with the 3rd person biped.

I may have the textures of the Library change a bit to make the level look more interesting. Still tossing around a few ideas.

I think the graphics look very good in the a30 pics, I like how the phantoms troops are just set up to be hit with the mounted machine gun. The only thing that needs a graphic change is that white assault rifle, it just looks strange. But anyway, its a mod and it looks like the final version of it will be looking very well.
