You won't be able to play it on MAC, there are some halo MAC disks on EBAY, but those are $150 and they could be fake.

MOST. i used a mac for a week, and it ran pretty smoothly. i had unity 3d, maya 8.5, and photoshop cs3 running at the same time and there was no performance issues whatsoever. they perform better than my pc, and i got it just a year ago

Wow, it is so gay that I see 90% of people bandwagoning in this topic. Why does a Mac suck when:

Stop banging the OS if you have not tried it yet.

Halo Custom Edition was developed by Gearbox Software the people who made the PC version of Halo. The MAC version was developed by another company and they did not make a custom edition for the MAC. You might be able to run it in Windows Emulation on the Mac but there is no native MAC program.

Macs are odd. They cost 500 more dollars to have programs pre installed? That's a waste of money. I'm only 13 and I know what programs I need fore my pc and don't give a dam about what macs provide. Only thing good about it is there are hardly any virus's or spy ware compared to Windows. Only better security wise. And the worst thing of all. No Halo CE for Macs.. Stick with windows.

Go take this argument to the MARATHON pfhorums, and I think you will likely be raped (argument-wise... I guess O_o)

This is not the place foir OS worship. What ever operating system you like or does what you need is the best one for you.

I don't really care about operating systems as long as it's learnable. :P
I would get a mac and learn to use that just so I could start mapping for marathon in my spare time :P.
I would get linux for... what... uhm... ...to host a good dedicated server, I guess (my favorite game of all time, Descent, was ported to linux, so that's another plus.)
And I stick with Windows for Halo Custom Edition and general gaming.

Also... hehe... I have another computer that has both DOS (first to tell me about that OS without simply relating it to CMD gets a cookie... maybe.) and Windows 98 SE.
I play all of my older games on it, including Descent (hey, if I never played that, I would never have gotten here, as it was my first online gaming experience...)
And my first computer ever had DOS and some old junk called Windows 3.1. I as 4 at the time and that is where I learned the basic use of DOS. :P

fact: most people who say macs suck have never used one. they are basically superior to windows in just about every way. they are faster and have better hardware, but cost alot more and have less program support. dont be a noob, dont bash anything you havent tried.

Mac's rock yeah. They have good RAM and processorz and graphics but they phail at gaming. Some games are good but other games phail at 5 fps

I guess subtlety is lost on you guys. The discussion was not about the virtues of any particular OS but about a Halo Custom Edition game that would run on a MAC. Now the topic is locked.
