Hello! I am gerbile3, Leader of zombie survival mapping team.

Well what is zombies you ask? Zombies is Two things.

Well how can it be two things gerbil?

Shut the hell up and ill tell you.


Zombies is an RP that is sometimes played in halo. It is extremly heavily played is games such as garrys mod, Couter strike, half life 2 death match, Basicly almost all the source multiplayer games.


Zombies is also a form of game. For all of you who dont know, It starts out with one person as the "alpha zombie". This alpha zombie kills humans, which is most commonly in halo the red team. The people woh are killed become zombies. The round is usually timed So there can be winners to it, and not just eminet zombifying.


It is a very fun thing to do in halo, But even funner with specialized maps and weapons.
That is why i decided to make this mapping team.

We are currently working on finding people who are willing to help. Or can contribute something to us. We are always looking for people who can model, animate, rig, skin, or even tag weapons.

We currently have 2 modelers, and an animator, But im holding off on getting major projects started until we have enough people. Of course, we are working on smaller projects, Like SMod Weapons for halo. SMod is a half life 2 mod. If you have half life 2, google it. You can kill people with a shovel.

Anyway, Weapons from SMod include
HK-Mp5-SD6\M203
M4a1 carbine
Standard overwatch pistol (or in gmod known as Alyxgun)
Incindiary grenades
The P90 from smod
what makes smod so fun, The shovel.

New weapons, such as the shovel, the OICW, and other assorted things

FP Zombie arms (maybe)

NEW fp hands (if i can learn to rig correctly)

New FP animations

DEFINITLY new skins for spv1

Edited dialouge (MAYBE! UNSURE)

Default maps with new reskins. (for zombies!)

taking out the over used mastercheif for maybe a combine biped, or a rebel biped.

NEW weapon skins for any non custom weps we may use.






Tho we are working on small things rite now, such as skins, and experimental maps, We still need MORE people. wwe currecntly have

Weapon modeler
2 weapon animators
vehicle animator
rigger
skinner (kinda idk)




We need a mapper and another animator!


Even if you dont want to join, and just want to contribute to su, that would be great.

Cant get at the moment because i am on a different computer. I will get a few pics of the weapons we will be using when i get on my computer with all my resources on it.

YES again im not letting it die.... lol


Btw This is the same as making any halo 3 styled map for hce, trying to make things from an awsome game, into a game that is 10 times more limited, runs like crap, and cant play online good

so in short, you want to make (or more accurately, "customize") a map with new weapons that you believe will make zombies more fun. one of these weapons includes the incendiary grenade. that wont work if you want to keep the frags and plasmas.
second point, zombies on halo ce is quite possibly the worst thing ever. on h3 when you play zombies, zombies get the sword which lunges. in ce all you get is melee and jump while the red team gets to keep all of their normal attacks. that is immediately a disadvantage for zombies (as if the had enough as it is). halo 3 maps are designed in such a way that zombies can be effectively played. halo 1s maps are not. point being, i dont like zombies, and i have reasons

Unless you use the same weapon characteristics as the ones you are replacing. Meaning that if you substitute a Tommy gun for the AR then the Tommy Gun must have the same fire rate, reload time, projectile damage and spread as the AR. Meaning substitute the model but not the characteristics. This is what most people who make new weapons forget. They forget the balance of the game with their new killer weapon.

Oh god yes i know that. I meen maps like chaos gulch and maps where the assault rifles shoot out rockets and what not. I want it to be fun not a bunch of noobs shooting people with ak's that will drop u in 2 shots

I saw that movie it as awsome. Those APC's were simalar to kingfish's LAV-25 apc. (Hmm a concept based on that movie would make a good zombeh map!!!!)

I should be gettin pics of the weps we mite be using tommorow or friday

Single player possibly. And duh. I wish i could edit turrets so if you got meeled it did hurt you cause i meen turrets would b ok but i meen they would be DRASTICLY reduced in bullet power

yeah you could make a single player lvl kind of like doomsday that would be cool but with diff names and stuff and a custum HUD

its funny that you said that because my first custom weapon was a tommy gun and i just replaced the assault rifle model to make it show up ingame

I bet you can't even say something nice or not go into one thread without saying something pointlessly negative.

Zombies has interested me since Halo2. I'd like to see something similar and something that can honestly be said to be like a zombies variant and map. Good luck with this though, I look forward to seeing this develop in the future.

dont get me wrong, i love zombies in halo 3 (although all those custom maps are just....... why. one spawn in front of a damn turret) its just that i hate it anywhere else due to engine limitations and cheating, and all around douche baggery

I think the best thing to do in your position is to just make a bsp with many locations you can set up to hide. Put many weapons on the map, add AI (Flood) or your own Zombies and then a timer (Like the last level of Halo 1 but count up [If possible]). So you can see how long you can stay alive. The difficulty of the AI would go up from easy to legendary of course.

Umm wow dude.(talking to nexus) That is probably one of the most excellent ideas ive heard in a very long time. That would be pretty fun to create and it would be very fun to play on! and It can be used for simalar maps that can have the same concept too!!!!

Screw off spartan, Im I can accutally have a reason to learn because im getting new hardware and will finally be ABLE to get tool to work. I didnt not model cause i was lazy. TOOL WOULDNT COMPILE ANTHING you want proof? ask cheatsman

Yea, I've always wanted to play a map like that. I was planing on doing it myself but... I got lazy and just didn't bother. Hope to see it.

just a small FYI:
In the 20 different servers ive played zombies (dedi or not) the zombies are always BLUE :O only 1 server did it differently and that was only because of the spawns, you might want to make blue zombies too?

Never said it had to be online. Could be Singleplayer. Who knows Kornmans thing might enable that. Don't know that much about it.

What your doing is posting a picture of someone elses content in another game , and thats not helpfull , as i am sure most of the people on here know what certain guns look like , they dont need to be shown them in a completely different engine.

Fact is , that weapon , if you can get it out of Half life 2 , may not even look the same , it might have errors in the mesh when its imported into Halo , and if thats the case , you may have to completely re model , and re texture the entire thing.

Plus showing us something from Half Life 2 , does not really count as your content , when 1: its from another game completely , and 2 you dont have anything in Halo yet.

I dont care about 90% of errors. And i was showing it as a reference of what it MAY look like. We mite use the hl2 model, but we might not



and it still hasnt occoured to anyone were still very new and are getting things sorted out
