Yeah, computer issues... Can't access anything in the ce folder. I don't know how to make it so that I can, though. And this thing appears when i navigate through folders: And sometimes when I go into my user folders, windows explorer crashes. I did two virus scans and nothing was found. And if I click yes, IE comes up. ? And when I open IE and go to a site, it makes a blank page?

1- have you already contacted Microsoft...most likely when you were playing around with their coding(CE or otherwise), something got deleted that shouldn't have; they'll know what to do... if not, talk to Bill Gates 2- a lot of people use the anti air-fuelrod for the very reason that it tells you who is where in the map, when you point it in the correct direction 3- for those of you who don't know... 'r' reloads your weapon 4- timed bombs are good for being a terrorist at close range when you are out of ammo

I posted a thread on this at modacity.
There is more rants on how bad people think coldsnap, hugeass, and extinction are and less discussion on how things can be improved in the mod. I mean, really, I am doing this mod to improve, and they ignore this simple fact and automatically say it is bad because of the size...
On-topic, any more suggestions?

On-topic, any more suggestions? The truth is that it is the size, that makes the map unplayable. Because the map is so enormous you don't want to not be in a vehicle, which is fine, but even the vehicles take for ever to traverse the map. I would highly suggest increasing the speed of all the vehicles and players by atleast a little bit, and if the beta was any nod to the direction of the vehicle layout, I would suggest not removing vehicles and maybe consider adding more.

1- suggestions... leave the upside down crashed pelican with a vehicle on top of it{in the origional it had a tank spwn on top of it, blocking any sniper's view from across the map[this makes a great sniping post]} 2- any fast moving vehicle is easily drivable, it just takes skill and lots of it[also you can change the traction on the ground surface on the hogs {ice- causes less traction, dirt- causes skids, water- causes slow speed}[or adjust the width of the collision geometry on the wheels so you cant flip]

actually you'd be surprised what traction does... too much traction and you flip on any low speed to high speed turn; too little causes you to slide where you don't want to go

I made a widehog. Widening the wheel base does help it handle better. I tweaked it's ground friction, and added markers over the wheels' masspoints for a damage_effect that helps it stick to the ground. When in the air, it's angle can be adjusted with the crouch button, giving you a better chance of landing without flipping. Edited by bobbysoon on Oct 12, 2008 at 11:28 PM

I was messing around with this one day, and I found out which value easily fixes the vehicle flipping issue. It's in the physics tag, right at the top: Density.
You can safely set the density to a lot more than the hog has it set to without weird side effects, and it nearly completely fixes the issue with fast vehicles during hard turns. I experimented with it in DMT_racing, and I was able to increase the cars' top speed to twice as fast and charge around the track without ever flipping once just because of hard turns. Never. No. That's "gravity scale". Density does not affect speed of falling at all. Otherwise I wouldn't have said this.

If you're making a hangar in the Covenant vessel, I suggest putting some corridors ripped from the Truth and Reconciliation and connect it to the 'control room' in the original Extinction.
Oh and also, those Anti Air Fuel Rod Guns were awesome, lots of people would of used them if they were a lot stronger. They were weak and that was why noone liked them, just increase the damage they do.

1- capture the power core?... could be interesting if the lack of power core causes doors to be closed or teles not to function[this would make it more necessary for people to defend the power core and keep it from the other teams area 2- that covie ship looks funny... not trying to be rude or anything but, all covie vehicles have more of an egglike or oval like shape either at the front or the back... but as egg said, its new and could be improved... i'm just worried about its small-looking size 3- yes the troop transport hog would be nice, though i'd love to see MATOOBA's Hogfoot be finished and used in a large map such as this[it seats 4{driver and 3 passengers; two of which sit facing the rear} and is quite fast-- skilled drivers need only apply] 4- can someone please fix the phantom's/pelican's takeoff issues?[the phantom sits partially underground and drags on takeoff{thus easy target} and the pelican has issues when trying to gain quick altitude because of where its i guess you'd call them, boost nodes... sit... its almost like a flying box; could you add or adjust the nodes so that it handles something like a banshee when gaining altitude?]

Not really doing anything right now. I need to talk with bobbysoon about the bsp.
Taking advice form modacity, there should be cliff passages, tunnes, and ledges for infantry instead of an open plain.
There will be less humongous vehicles, and more small vehicles. Hogs, tanks, banshees.

I really like the idea of smaller vehicles. In my opinion, if you were to have any large vehicles, then they should have no weapons and be strictly for transport.

You should have some kind of complex system of corridors maybe ripped from the POA which link by teleport between the two bases, this way you dont need to have a vehicle to be able to go to the enemy flag.

Still working on it... sorry, not much to show right now. But I'm starting over from scratch. I scrapped that last one. Been refining my methods, mostly. I'm going to try making it from a spline now, rather than mashing a mesh around (messy), and see how that goes. about the question donut asked about how to change the chat text color: 1: open the ---log.ksml file in the "C://program files/microsoft games/halo custom edition/ content" (the "---" coresponds to the resolution) (open in notepad) 2: you should see something similar to html... somewhere along the lines there will be something like this:
