the scarab crushing and killing you was the respawn time lol... that doesnt have anything to do with the map...

bridge not dying could easily be fixed by a death trigger volume...

ship's... eh they are shiny

lol the max people on red team on a regular team game can be 8 if its fair so you might have too many vehicles for covie

how can it be physics? i get it but it seems weird that if you were to shoot it with say ANOTHER SCARAB it wouldn't go flying...

I still think its physics but thats just weird lol

physics controls how heavy something is, where the points of mass are, and how much mass it has at each point

It's not that bad, too white yes, shouldn't be snowing in the hanger XD
Scarab is hard to get on, why have active camo? Couldn't be bothered testing further cause I'm going to breakfast now =)

EGG as for the snowing in the hanger just set up the weather cluster in the hanger to "none" and you wont have snowing hangers....

as for the physics can you make it MORE than the old scarab because i get tired in extinction of people who cant just shoot and kill me in the scarab and they flip me with a pelican....

it gets annoying because they do that to the mythos too.... lol

I hadn't fired anything at that place, and the only thing that could do that would be the nuke from the longsword, cause the scarab's decal is much darker. And we all know the nuke has been taken out, so...

a random blob =)

cant egg edit the BSP so all those dark spots are actually ice?... lol right now it doesnt look like ice, and unless he finds a new bitmap to use... extinction 2 will have a random dark spot

u dont edit the BSP, u edit the shaders and textures. and it probaly is ice materialed if he used the same material from icefields. also wheres that snow texture i gave u to use as part of the details map?

Honestly, I can't see anything, too much WHITE everywhere.Been noted.
Ghosts? Spectres? You placed about 50 of each, 4 each. What is wrong? it is a big map.
and it took me about 10 times to get onto the Scarab, respawned and crushed me 6 timesI've noticed that. I'll make a better way to get up.
Also, those Longswords should be called BLINDING SHIPS because they reflect too much, and blind you as much as looking around does.Then i will change the shaders. nugga included several different bitmaps. I thought a white themed one would be cool. Guess not.
The cliffs look terrible, The textures? They looked fine to me. I haven't had any other complaints.
falling down below the bridge doesn't kill you, so you're stuck, and it's not even fun the least bit. I made a script and put a trigger volume down there. Why doesn't it kill, i can't figure out.
You'd be lucky to find another person's ship, or another person. then i'll add more vehicles. Besides, it is meant for 8v8 team games or 16 player FFA.
The civilian hogs can't be entered, and one gets stuck in a wall. Never had either happen to me.
There's not point to placing Needlers, Brute Plasma Rifles, and Pistols, or any weapon for that matter. Yes there is. When someone invades the hangar or covenant base, you need some type of engagement weapon.
Overall, it sucks. Either restart from scratch, fix a ton of stuff, or drop it.not going to drop it, any time soon.

no i mean... make it look belivable.... right now it looks like a blob... i mean because ice is under snow not on the same level as it... riht now it looks weird lol...

if he used the same shaders as icefields it wont be "ice".... because it would be snow.... thats why they have and icefilds_ground and icefields_ice bitmap

because shader_eviroments can only be one type of material... (i.e. on cmt_snow_grove when you shoot the ground paths snow flies up)

Actually, numerous times i said it was a lag test. Yet people continued to post and say things such as, "This map is a fail" Or ODX and his rant on about how crappy it was.

Fine, here:
It didn't lag as much as Extinction, but I never tested it with someone online. However, at other points on the map, many vehicles made it lag, or just the amount of snow everywhere. Now stop complaining that everyone didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, and get to work fixing it then.

1- the hogs were a bit laggy[what all did you tweak when you sped them up?]
2- my favorite sniping aide is missing...[you ended up removing the antiaircraft fuelrod gun or just moved it from where it is most useful; the covie bridge... i use it to highlight peoples' locations, then i wip out my sniper and fire away]
3- is the snow necesary at all, considering you can't see it with the fog?
4- i believe theres a way to script the scarab not to respawn or reset at all when all the other vehicles respawn[this would stop the scarab from respawning and killing people trying to get on, it would also stop the annoying random sound issues, furthermore... it would allow for crazy gun battles and random snipers to use the scarab]
5- the white vehicles[they look like mini LSs] need to be fixed... they have no functional collision geometry[they don'tkill you when they fall on you; they actually pass right through you], they have no easy access doors, the guass reload time needs some work

you realize that the stock sniper rifle does kill in 2 body hits right? idk why i even just asked that question because you just said that it did not.
sniper bullet.damage effect
damage lower bound: 101
damage upper bound: 101 - 101

material specific damage modifiers
cyborg: 1 (no change)
cyborg energy shield: 1 (no change)

cyborg.model_collision_geometry
maximum body vitality: 75
maximum shield vitality: 75
75+75=150
150-101=49
49-101= -52

in short, 2 sniper shots from the stock sniper rifle will kill the default mp biped. end of story

2- still quite inconvenient due mainly to the fact that i pair the weapon with a sniper and the only decnt sniping position is the outter legdes which you can only access normally through the covie bridge
3- i can see it plenty in the hanger but it doesn't exactly compliment the fog outside...
4- i believe the scarab is scripted in already... somewhere there should be a 'amount of time till vehicle respawn' flag or editable text... otherwise ask around...
5- in a vehicle such as the stingray it is better to make the driver seat easily accessable[not as hard as it is currently where i have to jump on top of the thing to get in... as for the gunner seat... if two people hopped in and they were shot, the pilot would die but the gunner would still be able to wreak havok while slowly falling[just like in a LS]

Don't suggest what you don't know is even possible. Which it isn't possible to set to stop respawning unless you put ai in it which automatically gets into a seat. Would work but not recommended.

It seems that everybody else has already addressed the bugs that need fixing that I would have addressed :D

Anyways, personally I still think that this vehicle from the map Avalanche, released by Spartan04, would be a nice addition to the map: http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb78/musicman888/coolvehicle.jpg

Correct me if I am wrong though guys.

EDIT: It also seems that the tags for the non-treaded Snow Hog need fixing or something as the vehicle could not be entered.

I think you should add some F-302's from stargate, theres someone already making the model I think, and they have missles and a railgun, and are not too small

well i just played the beta and here are some things:
1. what happened to the cliffs behind the human's crashed ship
2. I'm guess you're not goin to change the phantom's skin to white
3. you should get rid of those ugly wraiths and put halo 2 ones
4. and WTF is that big purple plane
