actually, it's bungie's bitmaps, but they never used them ingame.
Alongside Gore Elite:

Considering releasing, cuz nobody will want to do it themselves :P

those models n bitmaps wer used in 343 guilty spark...
the elite is used in the Vid cam flash back rec.

The marine chest permutation doesn't have correct LOD's set up. If you spawn a marine with that permutation and walk\fly backwards, it eventually pops back to a normal chest.

The marine wasn't, and I can see why,

something I'm going to attempt to model, specifically for UT3 but I may try to get it into Blam as well.. a rather stylized Jackal

ah, but it wasn't a full mask in halo 3; it was a half-mask, like in phantom of the opera.

yeah that's what I was going for. The helmet was pretty plain by itself and I wanted to add something, so I added that to it.

Slight progress, is this good for massing it out or am I screwing anything up?

Looks great. Just be sure to add the extra polygons where the joints are.

Doesn't look like a jackal at all to me, more like a horse head on an elite body, it's not bad because of that. Just that is simply how I would describe it if asked.

Personal twist. Same with the changes to the facial structure.

So, where are those smoothing errors you're seeing, and how would I go about fixing them exactly? Still kind of a noob here
