Season 5 of the Halo CE Chronicles is currently in production with a 6 part story that will be released sometime this summer. We have all the assets, maps and actors for the story and it is currently undergoing principal photography.

So, you ask, what is it you need from us? I am glad you asked. I am looking for people to create scenery objects to be used in future productions of the HCEC. I am making this request now because of the lead time required for people to create the scenery tags. All tags submitted will be placed on and shared through the website for download by anyone. Some of the scenery objects I am looking for are:

  • A Christmas tree complete with garland, bulbs and lights

  • Wrapped Christmas presents of different sizes

  • Human sized tent – pup tent style and/or mountaineering style

  • Burning Camp fire

  • Computer or electronics cabinet debris (damaged or burned)

  • Various animals possibly animated example: Dog with wagging tail or dolphin, shark or whale breaching, horse running…etc

  • Various household objects

  • Various signs and sign posts

  • Other suggestions or ideas always welcome

This is a completely voluntary endeavor and will assist not only me but the general Halo CE machinima community. Thank you for your time.

Yup that was the idea so I, and anyone else who uses the tag, could place it in an existing map.

I was thinking of street signs, stop signs, yeild ...etc. Also the wodden signs you see in military encampments with citiy names and things like "Walla Walla --> 2,300 miles" sort of like seen on MASH.

This would be the biggest challenge. Think "Mass beta" http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1133 as an example.

lol When Dennis posts a request, everyone jumps to his aid. When anyone else does, it's "OMFG NO REQUESTS GO AWAY LOZER!!"

Thats cause alot of people make stupid requests. There are several people here who can make requests and get them made, those are people who have a knowledge of what can and can't be done.

I got quite a bit of help for the checkers map project and i requested a texture artist and found one. If you know what can and can't be done i don't see a harm in making requests. Problem is some people pitch too complicated of an idea.

I was just wondering if anyone was making scenery objects for the HCEC? If if makes it easier they do not need to have collision models. Thank you for your help if you are.

Collision less models are like so easy.... you can model it with all the errors you want and tool will not be bothered. I got some space ship computers scenery I made last week... I don't know if it would do though.

Esentially I am looking for various props, gadgets and everyday items for sight gags and short stories. Just about anything within the Halo universe like ships and computers to things you would never expect to find in the Halo universe like washing machines, fruit and picnic tables. I don't model, never have the time to spend on it, so I am hoping others can help.

yo E3pO, your wrong way sign is facing the wrong way, which is pretty ironic.

So that means about three minutes?

Maybe he's really old and that's how signs were built back then. Go ask your grampa.

Dennis, you say you need animals right? Well I was thinking of a really funny idea for a while, I was going to do a cat as a weapon for use in halo that shoots furballs from the mouth in halo ce (idea was inspired by young brother of mine) lol. I'm going to start modeling the cat for you if it comes out good (I hope). I would like some help on making the cat a weapon for use in halo.

It shouldn't really matter if it's just a Spartan. Actually, Kiwi sees lots of speed limit signs that are pretty tall.

Whats 'HECEC'?

Dennis, I could rig 3rd person mp to another character. I tried it out with the Marine, and it worked great. The Marine and the cyborg's bones were created the same way, so their rotations orient quite well. If such animations haven't been made yet, lemme know.
Such animations could be edited in with the anim editor, and scripted or maybe configured to controls in guerilla
