Are you really that stupid? He is developing the HUD with the stock weapon set. That is the stock needler, when he finishes it, the HUD will be transfered to the CMT weapons...

It is the original needler. The picture is showing off the new reticle. We already have a fancy shmancy needler that's totally different.

Nice Reticule really looks great when combined with the CMT needler. So far the needle Imo is the best looking weapon in CMT so far. I'm also wondering how is work going along with The Pillar Of Autumn? (the level) How much have you done is it finished? I would just like to know becauuse it is around the time that you said you would start releasing, late 2011 or early 2012. All the stuff is awesome looking forward to the release.

Also at teh lag or anyone on CMT are the new Hunter anims like the alternate melee and the shield rais up are they standard or do you need OS to have them?

I just can't wait until I can get my hands on a OS installer. :/

The Hunters are not dependent on OS. The hunter guns however, if support weapons are included, will be.

Rip them off.

Or bite them off.

Or cut them off with an energy sword.

Or, pull the guns around with the hunter still attached.

If you look at them in Combat Evolved, it isn't so much fused to their arm as it is a socket they insert their arm into. They have a regular hand underneath, like the one on their shield arm, but the weapon sort of fits around it.

That probably didn't make much sense, but try looking around at the default Hunters with flycam (especially looking around inside the weapon itself) and see if you can figure out what I'm trying to explain.

I really like what you've shown so far, especially with the new custom maps you'll be putting out; I assume they'll be replacing the Library and the repeat levels? I'm not so sure about including Brutes - I've always found them rather boring - but I suppose my perception is colored by their official incarnations.

One thing that I didn't really like about the original Halo was the fact that many weapons were innacurate and unreliable. Obviously the Assault Rifle with it's amazing 2-6.5 degree error is a standout, but even the Shotgun's performance felt like it was too exaggerated - it killed anything up close, but you couldn't hit anything at a distance. It's basically a blunderbuss. I haven't read the whole thread yet so I don't know if this has already been addressed, but making weapons reward skill better is a feature I'd like to see.

They are keeping all the original levels intact, adding a few new ones and adding new BSPs to each level.

In my opinion, I should be kept this way. Each weapon should have its unique abilities and weaknesses: this is true balance, not having each weapon working well for all situations. The shotgun was perfect for close rnage, being able to tear apart anything within a small distance. It's up to the player to combine it with a long range weapon like the pistol to compensate for its long range weakness.
