Sigh, i guess no ones into it, i'll just let it lye i guess, since no one's into the idea of having a completely custom campaign for Custom Edition. Whatever, just thought i'd put it out there.

Uhum...Lumoria? No flashy OS tags but it's completely custom BSPs and level design.

Again, i'm not saying custom campaign, i'm saying normal campaign with custom BSP's. same story line, and everything. like the silent cartographer. new starting BSP's and inside. it's only two BSP's but if you make your own then you'll have a completely different look with new BSP's, but still the same campaign\story line that everyone loves

I plan on making a custom campaign with OS. I'm making custom marines and weapons, much like CMT. I will definately need assisstance when I make significan progress myself. This won't happen for a while though.

b40_final was a child scenario, which would thus eventually be included at the end of b40 itself.
But like most of the things I did for CMT, including an epic warthog run, it all got cut...

Well that's what happens when it exceptions :(, although it was really cool. I'd like to finally incorporate b40_final into the actual level though if you're ok with it.

To grunts, if we were going to put that amount of effort into the H1 campaign, we may as well make all new campaign levels.

Also I'm happy to announce we've added in backpack weapons thanks to Kirby, and unlike in H3/Reach, they show up in cutscenes as well! To top it off, our cutscenes now feature your readied weapons!

I meant the warthog run, which was cut because "sometimes" marine driven hogs can flip. As for b40_final, I basically ended up using it in b40_firefight which was released a year or two ago.

You people misunderstand. I'm not saying i want the same BSP's with new textures and graphics, i'm saying all new BSP's completely new maps that have never before been seen. not a redo of the old ones with a few minor changes.

Read their forums. To quote Masters:

But the real goal is to create a series of custom-built campaign maps based on events throughout the Halo franchise, and we hope to start on this in the not-too-distant future!

So we will hopefully be getting fully custom levels as well.

A few years ago I was thinking of ways to pull this off with just your readied weapon using scripts, I had the idea down but never got around to writing any of the scripts (got bored of all the crap that goes on here on Halomaps) glad you guys did it though, especially since it was my favorite part of cutscenes in Halo 2, seeing Arby/Chief walk about with different weapons.

Anyway, finally finished reading all 42 pages of this topic and I'm disgusted in the behaviour of this forum. I won't start arguments, point fingers or name usernames but sheesh. Leave CMT alone to do their work people and maybe it will get done faster.

Good luck you masters of modding and I'll go over to Halomods to see if I can lend my hand with OS since I have advanced C++ knowledge.

since i halo absolutely no understanding of what os is capable of i would like to direct this question to some one who does; is it possible and or practical to have your reticle turn green when placed on allies? its obviously not the biggest concern in the world but with everything else youve managed to pull off with os is there any likelyhood of us seeing this in spv3?

Oh my Dennis Grunt Hunter, make sense. You said completely custom campaign. But you said custom bsps, with same storyline.

WHY WON'T YOU JUST MAKE SOME SENSE?

Anyway, Masters. when I played CMT campaign, the first think I noticed was that it really hard. a10 was possible, but a30 is just damn near impossible without devmode. So, you going to make it easier? OR, plan our encounters better? No insults, just constructive criticism.

To be fair, a10 was public beta we published. I have no clue what SPV2 betas are out there, for all I know theres a beta build out where 5 bsps were scripted and encountered in one day and the beta is of the first pass through those areas, and that's what you played. We take testing very seriously, the maps are very much possible to play through.

As for the question about the reticle turning green, I'm sure it could be done if you are dedicated enough to work towards it, but there's no code in place for it, nor do I think anyone will want to waste their time doing that.

Because it clearly hasn't been mentioned before that Kornman didn't go against the eula... -.-

"tore bungie's work apart"

Obviously, because improving the graphics, adding tons of gameplay improvements, and overall improving Bungie's work without ruining the original style is totally 'tearing it apart'. O:

Or build an app to block their assets from ever being accepted into Bloodgulch. OS HEK should auto-detect BG and refuse to open it. :P

Good thing most people don't share your opinion.
There is literaly no good reason why anyone should protect their own assets, literaly no good reason at all.

The reason why I really got into modelling is because I found ways to make the tags corrupt when extracted with HEK+ (EVILFACE).

You can't rip OS dependent tags. The reason why? Because HTC and HEK+ do not have the code in place to read the new data in old tags or the new tag types.

If we were to want to protect tags, we do know how to make tags unloadable by public tools, but we're not going to go through the effort of doing that.

As of now, there are no plans of protecting our content.

I've always supported open sourcing the maps, and I was one of the few to support HEK+ CE map compatibility. Since CMT is a team, it's never been my call to have them unprotected. And when the team split up it was me who released the tag dump map.

Please know your facts before accusing me of things. Thanks.

Alright there big boy, but considering CMT is known to be a good ol' wild dictatorship, (and not to mention, almost as unstable as the Soviet Union was near their collapse), you would think the dictator would have had that decision.

Oh and, Nancy, next time, try not to get all lovey dovey with me, I'm homophobic.

You don't know anything about this team. You were recruited on the old team by Duce over two YEARS ago and you worked on the project for about 2 weeks before you were let go because it was the opinion of multiple people that you're work was subpar and you were not a good fit for the team.

You are always welcome to voice your opinion, regardless of what it may be, but I am tired of hearing you lie about me and the people working on this project. I'm not going to get involved in a crapfight with you here, this is the last I have to say on the matter.

Hey Alberta, news flash: It was one week and a half, oh and, I let my self go becuase of the terrible disorganization that had engulfed your entire team, let alone no purpose or even goal for what you considered "the best mod in Halo:CE".

And look. We’re both leaders of a team; ones way better then the other, but thats okay.
