I'm actually a little underwhelmed by the environments. While the scenery and stuff looks more shiny, the fact the BSPs are essentially the same makes it underwhelming imo. It would be fantastic if you would take up one of the people who has offered to redo the BSPs (was it Slappy The Pirate?).

Furthermore, I find it too bad you guys didn't show the new area you have planned for a50.

Also not really impressed with you guys saying it's arguably the best way to reimagine the original campaign, atm if the environments stay the same, Halo CEA will still take the crown to me. Please just don't say things like that, it's not worth getting disagreements over.

That leaves me with one last question: why isn't Sinow appointed level designer? Or is the team roster incomplete? People who know him should realise he was imo the most promising level designer you guys had. GIVE HIM WHAT HE DESERVES!

Alright, polite criticism aside (I tried my best honestly), very nice and well prepared narration. And the upgraded tags themselves really do look great.

What happened to sinow? He was the best qualified for level design. Also, I can name about a dozen fantastic drinks to consume while playing SPv3

Sinow dropped out of contact with us a few months ago citing real-life problems that prevented him from being around. I'd welcome him back onto the team if he came back.

Can't say I was too pleased when spv2 was cancelled, but now with all this hard work that's been put into spv3 and how beautiful the mod looks overall, I have to say I'm grateful that spv3 will be what CMT will most be remembered by. This mod looks great, it will truly be the jewel of the Halo CE modding community- so please, take your time as I know that this mod is destined for greatness.

Hi, uh....I'm new here but i have a question for the people who is working on Cmt Spv3. Can you make it so the marines and all the other people have more voice verity? It really bothers me that they all mostly have the same voices and say sentences over and over again. Thanks... Oh, and when do you think Spv3 will be released?

I'm not a member of CMT, but I believe I can answer your second question using quotes.

"we are opting to release maps incrementally, gradually refining and adding to the tagset until it is complete"
This basically means they'll be releasing each 'section' of the campaign mod days, weeks, or months after each other(The timescale hasn't yet been announced as far as I know). So, you could play the first level, then wait a few months, then download the next level. Kinda awkward I know, but the only other solution is to wait about 2 years until it's actually completed entirely.

"our plan is to release A50 in its entirety - Brutes, new BSPs, and all - around late January/early February."

This means that one of the levels(Truth and Reconciliation I think?) will be released around early 2012.

Simple note for OS : can you add a flag to keep a square scale for reticules on the hud ? So it's never stretched

It's an option in OS when the game is loaded, I hitting f4,5 or 6 brings down a drop down box that lets you change things like FOV, HUD scaling, and weapon placement.

Those blood effects for the various covenant etc. look WAY too bright and misty imo, the decals too. They resemble splashes of plasma more than they do blood, and the grunt blood is a bit too dark of a blue dontcha think?

also is cmt going to be applying blood that dries like in spv2? Or was that hurled out the window when ifafuda-...err..you took the reins for effects?

and yes I'm a perfectionist when it comes to effects, it's both a blessing and a curse

EDIT: One more thing, has it ever been considered to make injured bitmaps for each ai so when a certain part of the ai or the ai as a whole takes enough damage they won't look squeaky clean and blood free? It's been one of my greatest annoyances with the halo series. If a body is dead, it should LOOK dead. and since injury decals aren't possible I figured maybe you could just change the actual textures to appear injured.

I hate how people compare this mod to HCEA. Comparing both of those are almost impossible considering the fact that both "mods" had totally different intentions and goals. Please, stop it before my head explodes. Seriously, it keeps me up at night.

or stop taking stuff that xbox does, and do their own Easter eggs ....plus there is no reason for achievements if no one else can view them...

and higuy is right both mods had two different intentions. but then again you are pvt. caboose so you don't see it

i would say more a brute flood cause neither jackals or hunters can get infected by the flood and i like you want to see the marines it would be awesome
aswell i agree with caboose it would be awesome to see some easter eggs like skulls maybe even terminals or just and simply hidden weapons or super weapons

He means that there won't be Marines. (I think)
Instead of marines there will be ODSTs. (I think)

yes they cant aswell as grunts because they lack of sufficient calcium as to realize the flood mutations for the tentacles and all that things even though the flood has found a way to uses their corpses using them as prime matter for the flood carriers and flood pure forms ( their biomass)

I think its way more impressive than Halo Anniversary. While(don't rage at me) they are totally different in what they want to achieve, SPV3 has already shown how awesome custom content can make the game.

This is the true Halo Anniversary.

Does the Narrator of that official trailor sound a lot like that guy that narrated the start of How to Train Your Dragon? Strangely, he sounds almost exactly like him...or her.

Chill, he's new. Give him some slack. Welcome to the forums. Updates should be more frequent, we post updates more often on our own forums, halomods.com/cmt. Rather than on these forums.

Now, I just think... this work is staggering. The effort put into it by a team that could very well apply to join 343 and have a chance of getting accepted with these epic skills. All this, with the engine limitations of BLAM!, is an amazing piece of work.
