Eight hours......?

You could of easily imported the lines from photo shop and extruded them, and then quickly be able to subdivide.

thats stupid, and for the lazy.

No offence bo, but it shouldn't have taken 8 hours. Rendering shouldn't have even taken that long.

And that is an epic transformer.

not saying it looks bad, just shouldn't have taken that long

Rendering took about an hour each.

not really. when i mean by how long i worked on it, it also includes how long i had 3ds max open to the model, and how it was sitting idle while i was doing other things, hur.

Accurate time, including me measuring up angles, adjusting edge loops, and setting up the scenes, about 1 hour-1.1/2 hour each.

Also Im not one to just put stuff anywhere, I like to go for precise coordinates, like 121, or 241. Not 689.5091 and stuff. Makes its easier to calculate the angles and such.

Same as ODX. I render sandtrap within 10 seconds. That level shouldn't take much more than 20 - 30 seconds.

I've been working on an unnamed ctf/team-oriented map for fun.
It's not textured or completed yet, but I thought I would share its progress.

So, here it is:

General View:

Top:

Side:

Bridge & Base:

Inside a Base:

Comments? :)
(BTW, can you guess what other map by me this resembles?)

I didn't say that at all, I'm telling him to quit making excuses that his computer is "so bad" or we can all render better because "we have better computers." I understand I'm being a bit sharp but his ignorance is really starting to get on my nerves.

Looks interesting, but the cliffs at the bottom look really bad, but I guess that doesn't matter to much because You won't see them. I would suggest adding more routes to the flag as it look very difficult to take from the base at this point.
