It looks really much like a cliff/rock texture to me, rather than grass. More of a solid earthly terrain right now. If you're trying to create some grass textures, some searches on google give interesting results.

The grass supposed to be all over the place though. By the way I made some changes.

that isn't grass all over the place. go outside and tell me that looks like grass. easiest way to tell is to compare.

well-placed grass sprites would probably be more effective

It's looking very nice. The trigger guard is a bit thick, but that's the only flaw I can see.

Nice holo-sight thing.

Could we get a look at the other side of the gun so we can see the ejection port?

I know this isn't really HCE stuff, but it is some stuff I recently did for fun! Taken with my new T3i Canon camera... saw a cool example of light painting on youtube and decided I'd try it out

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3817/9001098954_be6e1b1d88_o.jpg

Neither image is edited except the second one, which was only to adjust the image size.

this is late, but I like how you put water on a CD to emphasize the reflections off the surface to spread the pattern out. however, I think you should cluster the pattern less and spread it out to the edges of both CD and drops to maximize space and design in general. also, clean your CDs!

I was thinking of maybe trying to take the water droplets and make a patern with them perhaps (bigger ones on the outside as they sprial towards the center and get smaller) but haven't had time to mess with it again. And yeah lol its the back of windows xp disc

you can also try pennies(cleaned using salt and vinegar) and glass shards, those produce some interesting results.

In the concept art, it looks like it's a stamped metal heat shield, rather than the polymer cowling found on the standard MA5. I think it's supposed to be a bit flat.

that isn't how grass works. it looks like green skin all over the place.

The grass supposed to be all over the place though. By the way I made some changes.

The world is made of moss, mama...

The sky is made of water...

real is brown

You may as well skip out on the watery-everything textures and just generate dynamic caustics on everything instead

Here are some forerunner architecture i was working on.

I might move the floating structure somewhere else or move it up more.

Edit: I also understand that all the pieces needs to be welded together as one piece. I will do that later when i think it looks good enough.

Firing animation. The main reason is just to test GIF uploads and fancy renders.

In CE (weapon model still needs work.)

Shouldn't the gun jerk upwards with recoil as opposed to downwards?

Yeah.... That firing animation is a little old. I need to redo it probably. I also still need to make reload animations, which is the hardest part for me as of yet.

Can a BSP also be separated into regions, or just meshes?

Maybe it's similar to the Jackals' shields.

I'm pretty sure you want to separate the objects completely. Especially with parts of the bsp overlapping in between themselves.

This one is actually a series of screenshots taken from the xbox version. I thought it was obvious.

I can not see any clues that might suggest that it's from the Xbox version.

Not everyone here is familiar with differences from the xbox version to the pc version, either. I mean why would you need the xbox version if you have the pc version? (and this is a work in progress thread, leading to the idea it was something you were working on)

I did it because there aren't enough xbox screenshots that help show the differences between pc/xbox. People don't know how it's supposed to look, and don't know that it should be fixed to look like that. My gif wasn't the reason it looks so poorly made, it's the screenshots I used. The xbox dev camera is very hard to control; especially while taking screenshots.

lol, I love how I showed my xbox shaders and i was completely ignored the first time. And cmt just made a new mask, it never actually animated. Theres no legit way to do what the xbox did without inverse/difference math, but I did it a (totally frame dependent) inneficient way, that I never finished due to lack of interest.

http://imageshack.us/a/img401/6898/xboxfieldgeneratorshade.gif

http://imageshack.us/a/img163/9089/xboxdropshieldshaders.gif

http://imageshack.us/a/img832/5966/xboxshieldshaders.gif

Didn't finish up the shield hit stuff, on xbox the noise maps shift u and v coordinates when the shield function turns on.

PS pls korn/scythe add inverse math to our transparent shaders. (or bring back the original transparent generic shader)
