Not now but why not, it's a pretty nice idea. I'm not in my home right now but this week I will try to do that.

Yeah :) I changed my pc 3 weeks ago, and xfire doesnt work fine with it, i can't record video or screens. After that i downloaded free version of fraps, and i can record video with only 30 second to film :)

Sniper, try modifying your rendering settings in max to make the photos look more visually aesthetic. The hard shadows on the model makes it look ugly :|

Also, can I have a copy of that model for O.D.S.T? You'll be properly credited.

I had actually entirely forgotten I started this. Will try to finish and release once I've got a spare moment; I've completed the design, just got to re-model and do a high poly/textures, I'm sure I will be back in the future asking for help with animations...!

1. I hope you realize that those arent my renders, i was also asking that person to re-render them with proper lighting

2. If you're working with Hiralis on O.D.S.T., then you should have the models already. I gave them to him on a test map and he also modified them to his personal liking (though i might have found a way to have normal mapping show up as regular bump maps)

Even lesser known fact: Duct tape can be used to stop bullets.

Please give me some suggestion about the texture.

It will really help a lot.

lower the contrast and delete some of the insides of the boxes; you want to emulate the appearance of metal plates, and simply making a black box makes for an ugly texture. you want the plates to be noticeable while subtle at the same time, and they really stick out more than they should on your texture. another thing is that you should alter the specular a bit to match the roughness of each plate instead of making each of the same reflectivity. one last thing is that the patterns are too identifiable; add less things that stick out to give off a more varied appearance.

Who was that guy who was 'all out of bubble gum' or some other? His textures were pretty good.

Yeah, he did this:

using texmod (basically just an external launcher that uses a texture pack's textures over Vanilla, without needing to compile any maps in tool)

I know this isn't really HCE stuff, but it is some stuff I recently did for fun! Taken with my new T3i Canon camera... saw a cool example of light painting on youtube and decided I'd try it out

But was it Josh?

Anyway, I can't post this on the weapons thread so I'll post it here:

The single rod that allows the adjustable stock to collapse and extend would need to be replaced by two rods, offset to each side of the stock. As it is now, collapsing the stock would push the rod into the magazine. Other than that, though, I'm liking the look.
