For people wondering I make the map in MC, export it into max with super duper secret program (not really), and I cut parts out of the terrain.png in the JAR file that miencraft runs from. I just have a 32 x 32 texture pack on. It's usually 16x16. Then I UVW map all of the (for example) sand blocks to face, so it's done already :) Then all I do is weld the verts and im done.

Kk. I have a village I want to get into halo too, but it lagged the crap out of me in 3ds max becuase I was getting 10 frames per second when I imported the obj. Also lots of optimization needed to be done too lol.

^^ I can help you with that.
Plus the map I was aiming for was kinda like paridisio from halo reach. I need to expend the sides a bit more.

For whatever reason it's getting bigger then I thought it would. It should turn out really cool though. Already roofed that open area (Loading dock) and put a crane in. Working on walls for the upper area (the roof over the large area is about 8B above what will be ground since the tracks will be underground).

Here's the design (Using Misa's 64x pack) Basically stacking that up and offsetting it by one. Pretty simple. This is how the Netherfence works up close: (And this WILL be in my map by the way) E: Silly image tags... Edited by Skidrow925 on Jan 16, 2012 at 08:37 AM
