This is more tacti-cool than impractical. Impractical would have an oversized night vision sniper scope with integrated ammo counter and rangefinder. And an extended magazine. That kinda scope. Edited by Echo77 on Jul 29, 2011 at 01:11 AM

Edited by Echo77 on Jul 29, 2011 at 01:11 AM For extended mag you just take the tube and make it longer. MUCH longer. Maybe a vert-grip? Don't forget a PEQ box. Maybe a launcher? Flash-light for SURE (already on there I think?) More then 1 scope. Make sure scopes have rails so you can attach scopes to scopes. (actually has been done) Maybe a knife? When weapon has all above mentioned items attached then it is an impractical weapon. Especially if it is a shotgun.

Gonna steal doompig's name and call it the Impractical shotgun. Edited by Jesse on Jul 29, 2011 at 01:02 AM That's probably the most practical weapon I've ever seen. A red dot sight to aim at enemies at close range with pinpoint laser-assisted precision on a close-range weapon, and a silencer to attempt to suppress the firing sound! It's almost as practical as a sniper without a scope. Edited by doompig444 on Jul 29, 2011 at 02:22 PM

Tossing a Skylight into the scene and turning on Light Tracer in the rendering dialog will give a nice render for little to no work.
I'm still not sure what I'm looking at in the picture. With the floor texture it looks fine as long as your going to add some detail texture to it.

Not as cool as the Tac BR, but it seems to fit :P Don't really see the point of a red dot sight on a short range weapon :/. But it does look pretty cool 'u' Actually Red Dot's sights are VERY nice for CQB. Much faster aim then iron or open sights.

That's only in video games. Shotguns have a much larger range in real life. Think about it, it's not like bullets go away after a certain range in real life, they just limit it in video games so it's not overpowered.
http://guns.wikia.com/wiki/Franchi_SPAS-12 This site lists the maximum range of a spas at ~40 meters ( 1 meter ~ 3 feet, so 120 feet)
Of course it varies depending on what ammunition you use, but yeah. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jul 30, 2011 at 07:40 PM

Hth the only shotgun to be close to real life was the Model 1887 in MW2. It was correct before it got nerfed. The halo 1 shotgun had a good range and wasn't meant for close quarters like h3.

As a general rule (and one that Bungie's been following) I try to keep the spread within the reticle, no more and not too much less. As a consequence of reducing the spread i'd have to make the reticle smaller to accomodate the new accuracy. I honestly thought people would not like this gun but it's proven popular so I may do something with it.

TSN out. There should be more force when he pulls the clip out. You rotated the gun, which is good, but now also move it to the left and down a little, to show the force of the left hand pulling on the clip. Also, I noticed the right arm is completely horizontal, which looks unnatural. Personally, I recreate the motions from your animations as best as I can in real life with a piece of wood or something, and see if the motions feel natural. Doing this will help you get a feel for how to move stuff around naturally. I like how you did that little double tap thing when you put the clip back in, it's little things like those that really set an animation apart (imo anyway), but you could definitely do with some more finger movement. Especially after he puts the clip in and moves back to the origin, the thumb sticks out rather unnaturally, and it highlights the lack of movement of the fingers. If you work on those things you'll have yourself a vastly improved animation. E: also dammit i just checked the weapons wip thread and a bunch of people already posted similar things that I said :P Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jul 31, 2011 at 04:21 AM
