Bad news.  Unless someone can help me solve my problem, I will not be working on the Halo Reach pelican anymore. The .max file is now corrupt, I don't know what happened but it is. Everytime I try to edit the mesh, 3ds Max gives me an error, and I'm forced to exit the program. It sucks because I was getting really close and I put a lot of work into it, but I'm sure this isn't a big deal to guys since you have the tools to rip any vehicle from Reach now.

Checked all possible folders. Even when I open the Autoback in 3ds, it still doesn't work.

super high error failed.
could be saved as obj, collada etc then opened in max 8 and saved with max 8.
another thing to try is just make a random box or plane etc in 3ds max, then try to merge the pelican model into the scene.

reach gausshog anyone? the game crashes every time i exit the vehicle but it works. just needs a collision model and the exception to be fixed which i assume is due to the collision model being missing.

Improve the shaders. Just looking at that makes me feel sick. If you use OS shaders, you can probably get that to look exactly like the real thing. Feel free to PM me for some OS shadering advice. Otherwise, good luck.

i know it looks like crap, all i was trying to do is show that i got it working ingame. ignore the windshield because it needs to be fixed. and i cant get the alpha on the decals to work properly. anyone have any ideas on what i can do to fix that

Can never figure out why people here post pictures of ripped content in CE, like omg look what i did! *shows pic of plasma pistol on tutorial bsp* It's not that hard, the real credit goes to those who put the real work into them. Especially when it looks blah. It'd be different if some custom work was involved in the pic, like good shaders with OS, but nope, we just post pics of the content without any work whatsoever in the tag work. We mine as well play the reach/h3 version. I wouldn't even use that content if I had to time to make it myself, which I am 100% capable of doing.
Like come on people, take the extra couple hours and show off something cool, if you're gonna post rips at least!:)
