What I found funny, they put gas cans... Next to the gunner. If the gas can is destroyed, we would have some serious explosion.

Indeed. Sorry for the kinda mucked up image. It was a very rushed photoshop crop of a screenshot from in-game.

ignoring the fact that the warthog runs on hydrogen (as previously stated), gas cans don't actually explode when you shoot them in real life. liquid gasoline does not explode, it ignites. gasoline vapour explodes. educate yourself

Forza has been 360 only since Forza 2 hasn't it? Anyway if anyone has it, please give us an idea if it's actually as bad as people say it is.

I have always dreamed of an RTS where you need only click on a soldier to take command from an FP perspective. I love Republic Commando because you can actually order the AI about, yet it is an FPS.
I would love Halo Wars stuff in CE. The old CMT sparrowhawk was really good, even if overused, to say the least. Edited by Petera275 on Oct 17, 2011 at 04:16 PM

It's coming along nicely. I still can't figure out how to give it skids or some kind of landing gear. Skids looked too normal and I can't think of anything else that fits the style. Any ideas?

Forgive if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're going for a steampunk look. In any case I don't really know a lot about steampunk myself, but what about runners or skids on the front and wheels on the back? Or maybe a simple leg on each corner just long enough for it to land on? As I said, I don't know a whole lot about the style, it's just what i thought of after looking a the picture.

It does look accurate as far as steampunk "accuracy" goes. I am not so sure about the drill propeller. Most SP thing's I have seen just use a huge 3 pronged fan. Other then that it's pretty awesome just needs textured.

Is it something about how I designed it or are you just not fond of the design style? Also yeah, I just wish I was good enough at texturing to do this model justice haha :P Quote: --- Original message by: rerout343 Forgive if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're going for a steampunk look. You're right about the steampunk thing for sure. The skids/wheels combo is an interesting idea, I might try something like this: Quote: --- Original message by: Skidrow925 I am not so sure about the drill propeller. I wrestled with this for a long time. I was trying to emulate this drawing from da vinci: standard helicopter blades just seemed too normal for me, I usually think of steampunk as like, exaggurated and extravagant in it's design style. I also toyed around with the idea of some kind of hot air balloon thing which I might turn into a different design as well since I really liked that idea. Anyways, thanks for the crits guys.

I don't disagree that steampunk is designed to be intricate, exaggerated, and extravagant but that is mostly due to the fact EVERYTHING is powered by steam. There is actually a wikipedia page about steampunk.

What I would prefer as feedback: As many ideas of detail I should add as possible. I also prefer positive (Which might be unlikely :| ) Detail... xD Add cockpit windows (shouldn't be too hard.). Add turbines to those silly looking cylinders you have on the wings. Make landing gear, this one isn't real hard. Make the back of the wings more pointed (closer together.), and there should be a grove in the back third of the wing (going all the way through), and ending right before both ends of the wing. Windows along the whole cabin. Door. Interior? Make top tail-wing thinner (it's rather large.). Make tail wings more pointed on the back end (see No. 4). Add lights on the ends of the wings (Almost all commercial airplanes have this, they're not real important.). I could say more, but even what I have said already is mostly assumptions. I would be able to give feedback much more effectively with some better render angles. EDIT: Undeleted. http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/2646/chopper1a.jpg that right there looks great, i can almost imagine it with all the parts animated to move, the top spinning, tale moving left to right and the (belts spinning if you go that far with it). it's different and interesting.

Why can't you just use the h3 mopdel pack by Ihalo?
