The turret is at the front :P And thanks Quote: --- Original message by: PenGuin1362 >_< I'm doing a sherman tank for my assignment haha I was going to do that one at first, nice and interesting shape. But then I found this beast :P It's huge. More or less done now, just some more details such as hatches and other things. Then just gotta make lowpoly and bake, that's going to be fun lol. It's at 11million tri's at the moment XD proper gone overboard, it would have been at least 20 but I deleted the suspension as you don't actually see it. Post some pictures of yours Pen :P

I will have to agree with Maniac1000 here....it would seem that anonymous_2009 can give all the criticism he wants.....but when someone tries to give him some of his own medicine he seems to be unable to take it right back. So why even bother dishing it out, if you are to much of a jerk to take what you just gave out?
Anyways...Back on topic now. Looking forward to seeing some good vehicles.

Videoman I was not being given crit on something I had created, such as a vehicle. I was being given crit on how i give crit. Stop joining the wagon and get your own, boy. I see you seized the opportunity to say something negative to me ay? If I was given valid crit on a model or something else I will accept it an take it into account. My attitude however is nothing to do you anyone, and can't be told to be different. People can only have an opinion on it. Well done for causing off-topicness again, pointless remark was pointless. But you gotta have a say I guess ay

Care to explain why it looks half-azzed?
It's a sub'd model, btw. And it is based of a real tank, so what do you mean by "look at how real treads are designed"?
I have to make it a replica, no artistic freedom.

Quote: --- Original message by: KillerKip1Quote: --- Original message by: anonymous_2009T-28 Heavy Tank making for Uni Assignment. WIP To be honest, reminds me of Battlehammer 3000 type tanks, possiblylook up how real treads are designed, the best designs were on the older Bradley Assault Vehicles (BAV). As for the model, looks like a half-azzed job, but not bad on the detail, nice smoothing job, and looks like a flashy model. Hopefully the front is just as good. Lets see some mini-gun on it, as the top looks occupied with stuff, look at some infantry transporters from the soviet union during the cold-war, and then some german-made amphibious tanks, those should have the looks I see you aiming for. (the T28 was very similar, and amphibious, nice replica model, they are fun to cruise in, hits about 45 on a long stretch, 15 in rough waters). As for a minigun, try a light 50mm cannon with what can fire HE rounds ( High Explosive). Edited by KillerKip1 on Feb 10, 2011 at 08:57 AM Have you ever seen a T82? That is what it looks like. It looks pretty good compared to a real one...

cheers geared,i've been intentionally trying to keep it thin for a stealthy sort of look. i'm working on putting vents on the wings and thinking of a few details for the rest of it, i will try to build it up a bit aswell.it's just been made from random so maybe time to check out some images of other flying objects. thanks

So if you work around them why did you suggest putting a rotary cannon on top? As well as suggesting putting things from other vehicles?

If you work around them how can you comment saying the model is half-azzed? Of course, I would take the crit if there was a logical reason for it.

I have two models I am planning on putting into the game. However, due to several somewhat frustraiting errors and lack cooperation from Tool, I am stuck. Anyway, long story short, here are the vehicles below. The first is a fighter I made to replace the Banshee in function. The grey uncolored stuff is supposed to be textured to look like Blamite when its done, so its essentially a blamite fighter. Could be used as a kamikazi, I'm not sure yet. The second is a hover board I designed to be used more or less as an infantry carrier/recreation tool. Its designed to replace the ghost in game. The only problem that I am having is a relative lack of inexperience since I only started attempting to put these models into Halo three days ago. Any help would be appreciated. I can send anyone who wants to help what I have if they can send me the files I need.
