you seem to be dodging the point I'm trying to make with repeated reinstatements of self-justification, so let me lay it out pain as day.

do you honestly believe getting "attacked" make namecalling and rule-breaking acceptable?

You are not Dennis, you do not enforce rules/act as a moderator. if Dennis tell's me I have done wrong, then so be it. You may have your OPINION of my actions, and I do not care.

I'm guessing you want to feel all big at the moment and be correct, well enjoy it. No one cares.

Now shush boy.

I never said I was a moderator. I'm not telling you I'm going to ban you or telling you to stay on topic. I fail to see how you assume I'm acting as a moderator as I'm simply asking your opinion out of curiousity. it's a yes or no question.

and I have yet to receive an answer. you are still dodging the question.

do you honestly believe that being "attacked" justifies breaking the rules and name-calling?

"You get what you give", they break the rules. Go play your, almighty correctness card on them. If I wish to insult them, then I will do unless told otherwise by the moderator.

It's a matter of opinion your question is.

Shooo, i have work to do.

If that is what you wish the answer to be. That is my opinion, and the opposite is yours. Now you can shut up.

oh, you're still here? I thought you had work to do?

"shut up"? hmm, you seem to be awful hostile towards a few simple questions and constructive criticism and judgement toward your posting habits. but I thought you were all about improving?

LOL - You make me laugh. Attempting to be smart quoting statements.

Shut up isn't really hostile, it's a simple "command" so to speak.

This is Vehicles WIP btw, you have gone completely off-topic. Do you believe such a topic justifies your reasoning for going off-topic?

yes, I do, as topics commonly tend to branch off into other subjects, and it's practically impossible to fully keep a topic "on topic."

Quote: attempting to sound smart quoting statements

I'm simply addressing what you've said. that's generally how conversations, debates and discussions work. I don't see how that could be considered "attempting to sound smart." care to go into further detail, perhaps enlighten me? perhaps I'll learn something.

Quote: shut up isn't hostile

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shut_up

"Shut up" is a slang phrase with a meaning similar to "be quiet"', but which is commonly perceived as an angrier, "meaner", and more commanding attempt to stop someone from talking or making noise. The phrase is probably a shortened form of "shut your mouth up".

it's delightful that you're still here. I'm humbled that you've taken time out of your busy schedule to remain on these forums, despite the fact that you've said you were leaving. thank you for caring.

e: unfortunately I must be heading out. It's been a great debate, mr o'reilly, thanks for having me on. I will however reflect on what I've learned. a valuable lession, if I do say so myself.

I have been criticizing Hunters posting habits for ages, he doesn't know how, nor does he know how to take the crit with an open mind, he just cries instead.

Nice something ally :)

Your logic is flawed, your speaking of rules, yet your the biggest troll here. Topics stem into other topics correct, but typically other sub topics. Not something what has nothing to do with the game. It is off-topic, end off.

And my posting "habits" are how I am, don't like it. What a shame.

My crit is valid, and just to make you happy I will agree with you on the insulting part not being valid, but almost 90% of the time the people who it is aimed at deserve it, as they always cry from crit.

But I will say again, you can't say my crit is not valid, as you know dam well that it is valid. Maybe not the way it's worded, but oh, boo hoo, what a shame.

All of this started because I said a vehicle was bad, which is true, and everyone was sucking up to the guy, which does not help him. So I shot him down so he will improve, valid reason, and it helps. Bumming someone over something that is not good does the opposite.

sooooo, going back to vehicles, which are WIP, which is what this thread was supposed to be about. im am starting to slowly model a vanship from "Last Exile" (the red vanship to be exact) with quite a bit of modifications (making it more steampunky with more exposed piping etc, and valves whatnot). unfortunately im using a crappy old dell with less then 32mb of video ram, so modeling is tedious (main rig mobo is dead
can we get past this stupid argument which arises every time hunter posts his crit? he isnt gonna change his habits, just deal with it. hell i used to hate him, quite alot, but iv matured and realized the world is full of ppl like him. u either deal with it and push on and stand there bickering like lil kids.... god ppl, i know most of u arent even 18 yet(before dennis says i dont know that):most of u dont act like ur 18..., but please, have some respect for yourselves and others on here....

in short if ur too lazy to read the above post, stop being lil biatches, deal with what ur given, take crit and move on...

actually if u shorten the horizontal fins and lengthen the body about 75% u can make it a sub like thing. use it as scenery in either a water based level, or if u make it fly, some sort of cutter made for flying?

Your logic is flawed, your speaking of rules, yet your the biggest troll here.

I've done nothing but voice my opinions and asked legitimate questions, but okay, I guess I'm a big fat trole

Topics stem into other topics correct, but typically other sub topics.

yes they do

Not something what has nothing to do with the game. It is off-topic, end off.

if every person who posted anything "off topic" as you describe it were to get banned, this entire forum would be empty

And my posting "habits" are how I am, don't like it. What a shame.

don't like people who don't like your posting habits? well, that's a shame too isn't it

My crit is valid

never said it wasn't

and just to make you happy I will agree with you on the insulting part not being valid

glad you agree

but almost 90% of the time the people who it is aimed at deserve it, as they always cry from crit.

what an honorable stance on things. I'm sure all the new users want to be just like you.

But I will say again, you can't say my crit is not valid

and I don't

as you know dam well that it is valid

and it can be

Maybe not the way it's worded, but oh, boo hoo, what a shame.

so, coming from the guy who earlier said "you give what you get," you expect to "get" respect from anyone with the ammount you "give" people? I sure hope not

All of this started because I said a vehicle was bad

mhm

which is true

subjectively to you and relative to other vehicles, it may be

and everyone was sucking up to the guy, which does not help him.

but apparently claiming he eats genitals sure does

So I shot him down so he will improve, valid reason, and it helps.

or it could just plant an idea of how people around here act, and the guy could just as easily go do something else more productive with his time other than modding an ancient engine

Bumming someone over something that is not good does the opposite.

but it feels so good

.

i think that if u make that ship ur making ally, make it slightly outside the level, have it doing something moving around slowly and maybe firing etc, like in a map in bc2, there are ships in teh distance firing etc. you could do that, and have shells come down periodically somewhere(that probably has to be scripted thou right?). make em scenery no need to drive em :P
