Omg. You still don't get the idea do you.

A high polygon model with lots of detail would be used for making renders and baking textures... Hense the high detail...

How else could you make something high detailed but with unneeded detail? You just can't... Thats the reason you have a low poly model as well...

Two different things:
High detail.
Low detail.


Making a render of something you wont even see (Assuming the cannon is attached), and baking something that wont ever be seen?

Yeah but unless the cannon is removable in some way there would be no reason at all for him to put detail there, it just seems like unneeded work to me.

Well maybe he wants it to be "realistic" and have detail there... maybe he wants to render it without a cannon on the back.

Maybe he just wants the detail on there because he can.
It is a high poly model.. so you would put detail everywhere...

You don't see people leaving the engines out of really high polygon vehicle models do you? Well, most of the time there is an engine..

the model 'vehicles\bmx\bmx' and the animation graph 'vehicles\bmx\bmx' don't match
the object 'vehicles\bmx\bmx' will not animate

what did I do wrong? I have all the sames markers and nodes and the same model.

umm... I wouldnt even spend time animating that... that is frankly one of the worst models I have ever seen on this site

umm... I wouldnt even spend time animating that... that is frankly one of the worst models I have ever seen on this site

If you think that's the worst, go look some more. It's better than a lot of models submitted to the 3d models section.

anyway I just want to get this in-game ugly or beautiful because I never got a vehicle in-game and if I can make one I'll be able to make hundreds of others vehicles if I want after.

This is not a edited model, I started from a box pure scratch.

Shaders and turret could be better/fixed (which you probably are doing/done)

The turret is being fixed.
And its the scale is correct.

Err no the scale is not correct. Size it down a small notch to where the seat and edges of the vehicle don't make the Spartan look like a midget.

The shadow is scaled correctly. I went in max, imported the halo 2 model and scaled it to the correct size, then compared it to Bo's model by importing it. It fit perfectly. It might just look incorrect because: 1. The seats were never actually used in Halo 2, the time you saw the three in the tunnel, they were all carrying ghosts. And 2. We've never seen a spartan sitting on the seat normally (unless it was modded). Anyways, I fixed up the shaders. Keep in mind this might not be the final look:

Then why call it cell shaded...

From what I could read from the thread, the textures for both are the same. The shaders however, were redone by Delta, which I assume will be the ones released.
