Not everything gets made and released overnight. Making things for halo is harder than you think.

yeah, but you have to admit, there are a LOT of maps with GOOD weapons, but almost NO good weapon tags on Halomaps

your an idiot, there are plenty of good wepon tags on halomaps. Kingfish makes good modern wepons, AdvanceBo released wepons on this site and they look very good. you have to actually look. And if you want something that you are not willing to make or help with good luck getting it.

If you're so unsatisfied with the current state of the tags on halomaps, go make your own. That simple.

I'm pretty sure he told me he got the models and textures from Battlefield 2, and just animated them.

everythings 100 percent custum except turret, and i need help getting ingame. model is half assed(except the tires because i wanted to make them look badass). need help with getting it ingame.

Seriously, it needs some major work, right now it looks like a cardboard box with wheels and a gun on top of it. Are you going for a warthog type vechicle?, or some sort of hummer/SUV type vechicle?

Personal preference in SketchUp, and working from a laptop, it takes 3ds max a few minutes to warm up, but that model took me about 5 minutes in sketchup, after a few drawn concepts =)

Plus, gives me a 3d reference I can use to model it in 3ds max afterward

If you wnated to make such a comment, I'd appreciate some advice instead of just a negative let-down comment.

But yeah, Im just starting on high detail models. Its not done, now I have pipes and more little crevices, and inside pieces aswell, but Im learning, it's advancing next set of pics coming will be more detailed.

No, I think he was talking to Bo, because Bo said "You don't need the extra detail where the cannon is"

It is very boxy, I understand that its just the basic concept. But I hope you wont make the final model like that. Needs more interesting shapes ect... And please don't make the missile firer thing a block with holes. Make it look cool.

Omg. You still don't get the idea do you.

A high polygon model with lots of detail would be used for making renders and baking textures... Hense the high detail...

How else could you make something high detailed but with unneeded detail? You just can't... Thats the reason you have a low poly model as well...

Two different things:
High detail.
Low detail.
