I changed the visor diffuse to be really dark orange and gave it a glassy environment map.

speaking of which, the release is closing in (just gotta stop being lazy and get everything organized). so far, the incuded will be:

rendered overhead lighting textures
a .max file with overhead lighting setup
a .txt file that walks you through every step
diffuse and control maps in the same folder
separate folder containing shiny/dull specular maps and CC maps
.max file with basic rigging for silly .gifs
cubemaps with respective panoramics for 3ds max users

anything I'm missing? will post dull screenshots soon

Edit: while I'm editing h4 MC, I might as well cover H3 too.

Awesome. Can't wait. Wish you would include a few Halo 4 UNSC weapons with it too like the assault rifle, battle rifle, and the magnum. I recently got a new computer so I've been wanting to try to animate something boss.

Does anyone have any Marine bipeds with color change permutations and are set up to use player animations?

I have color change bitmaps but they're not really in an acceptable state at the moment.

I have color change bitmaps but they're not really in an acceptable state at the moment.

If you could get them into an acceptable state, I'd appreciate them if you were willing to share.

I think I see the issues.

Silver and green sun visor on helmet (should be gray)

Hand and shoulders do not look very "natural". Looks like they were forced to stretch.

I think I see the issues.

The left wrist, The rubber helmet shader, the lower shoulders, the shield lighting, the decals, the right pelvis, and maybe a few other tiny things. I had to upscale the biped to 1.05 and that caused a lot of problems. I'm going to stretch the forearm to fix the wrist problem when I get around to it.

I'd love to see the weights on the fingers. Mine are all scrunchy when bent.

Maybe one day a release, in an universe with another or without rating system.

was working on this with jackrabbit but he jumped off the radar but we got it dun. this is not it tho but i am almost dun fixing up the model to look good in game i will have it in game tomorrow. but this is the final model and the shader and stuff will not look like that it will look a little better haven't really got the texturing down in max yet. but jackrabbit helped me with that.

no its not its the halo 4 version but i am using the reflections from the halo 1's visor.
but here it is in game by me and jackrabbit. he made OS versions but i dont have them but this is regular halo modified by both of us.

I did the smoothing groups for the Chief. As for Arby, he still has the original smoothing groups.

Does specular work in multipurpose maps (the blue channel)? I'm not really sure if it does.

In stock CE i know Blue channel controls reflection maps, not specular.

As for OS, i can't say. But i think that's controlled in the shader tag.
