HIAHG, you should do a whole sequence. It's a pretty unique take on the Elite design.

Awesome! Are you using a custom cubemap or what?
Switch back to the silver reflection and also make your visor a bit better :).

Anyone know how to make like permutations on players after they pcik up weps?

like Kits in BF, pick up RL and get a different model? can you at least change textures?

bump_possession wont work, already tried.

Yes you can but it will require scripting.

Something like:

(global object_definition ar "weapons\assault rifle\assault rifle")

(script continuous playermodel_a
(if (= (unit_has_weapon_readied (unit (list_get (players) 0)) ar) 1)
(object_set_permutation (unit (list_get (players) 0)) "" "name of permutation") )
)


Now of course you'll have to repeat this for each different weapon and player.

Also, I did not test the script so it might need a little debugging/modification.

What I want to achieve is this:

when a player using the Assault Rifle:

Would your script above work for up to ten weapons rerout?

Also, where do I put these scripts when compiling?

And when I do plug it in, I'll have to repeat 16 times for each different weapon? do eshalo suppor that many perms?

Yes, that script "should" work with as many weapons as you want. And as far as I know you can have as many model permutations as you want.

As for the script, place it in the data folder that would match with your .scenario. For instance, if you scenario is located in:

tags\levels\test\bloodgulch\bloodgulch.scenario

You would save it:

data\levels\test\bloodgulch\scriptname.hsc

Then open sapien, click file, then compile scripts. If there are any problems, it will show them in the game window and print them to the debug.txt file as well.

As for repeating it 16 times. You might be able to shorten it like this:

(global object_definition ar "weapons\assault rifle\assault rifle")
(global object_definition sg "weapons\shotgun\shotgun")
(global object_definition sr "weapons\sniper rifle\sniper rifle")
(global object_definition ft "weapons\flamethrower\flamethrower")

(global short pnumber 0)

Again, I have not tested it, so there may be a few issues to resolve.

yeah, the texture at the moment doesn't really seem to go with the geometry of the thing itself :P

Give the texture a downwards feel, like it's been pushed up through the ground, or stretch marks from growing on a surface.
