Why would Soldiers wearing steel armour who have been fighting in countless battles still have shiny armour? It would have scratches and dirt and marks all over the armour.

EDIT: Actually I guess it should be slightly shiny.

Basically this. You may also want to make the armor slightly darker as well, but I guess we'll see how it all works out in the end.

I was thinking about just darkening the rubber bitmap since I cannot get it taken with shaders.

Yeah. The rig was made by shadowslayer, you Did the cube map, and I made the shaders and colour change. I gotta get a good detail map cause ATM it looks plastic.

may i suggest more defined detail

it looks really nice in some part because it isn't too black and the gray runs fine into the color

however black is important too because it adds more depth and clear visible detail into the model

if you look at the helmet you see 3 main colors, the baby blue helmet, the aqua blue lens and the black that separates the color.

All light colors will stand out more with the darker colors

Gamma is releasing his stuff hopefully, and we got the CMT release, TehLags elites, ODXs arms, ASCM, etc.
The stuff that doesn't get released is every single thing in the weapon and vehicle WIP threads.

The rubber looks better, but I think the steel needs to be a bit more scratched up.

Meh I think it's dark enough. Any darker and you wouldn't be able to see the lines in the bitmap

yeah well ill release after rig is fixed and i do the detail on the arms

heres the spartans colours in mp (not all of them but alot).

I think the Blue and the Red are a bit vibrant. Too saturated in my opinion.

yeah on some colours it looks bad but others great. the reason is you cant change individual colours :/
