unfortunately there's no way for that to work smoothly.

if you try to have them both fire from the same trigger, it will need to be a projectile that immediately splits into an smg and plasma rifle projectile. the firing rate will be the same for each projectile

if you were to go about the two trigger method (both mouse buttons), the animations for various states will conflict. for instance, if you reload and, say, fire or melee during the reload animation, only one of those animations can play at a time, and functions will be occurring while the animations will not completely match. think snow_grove's brg, how you were able to fire during grenade reload animation. it's something like that

You also have to worry about being able to swap out your weapons. the only way for you to refill the plasma rifle is to pick up another weapon, and when you do that you risk losing your SMG ammo. If your smg ammo is empty, the weapon on the ground will disappear when you pick up all of the ammo if I remember correctly

yeah only 1 fires the smg.


if you try to have them both fire from the same trigger, it will need to be a projectile that immediately splits into an smg and plasma rifle projectile. the firing rate will be the same for each projectile.

true i noticed that's the way you had to have it for the plasma pistols.
everything else you stated,i found out.
i guess this is just not gonna happen in ce,i just wanted to have a go just to try it out.

no, the plasma pistols fire two projectiles with one shot. the way I mentioned above is to have it fire a single projectile, invisible, that immediately detonates and splits into two separate projectiles. the rate of fire is a problem with that method

This really is possible, gane. With one trigger, you can have two projectiles, a battery, rounds for the smg you can pick up, overheat, and reloading. It's not as smooth as the future halo games because if one overheats, they both have to stop firing, and if you have to reload, you can't fire plasma.
If you guys need help with dual wields at all, just PM or xfire me at slappythepirate. I would be glad to help you guys with this.

Changing the animations so that when you reload, you use the hand with the plasma rifle and when it overheats you close the flaps with the smg hand.
That way you'd have to be careful about your ammo conserving.

at least have the consideration to crop your images.

also the needle rifle doesn't have sharp edges, it's rounded

Turret for my tank is done-ish. Afew bolt's need to be added but I can't be bothered right now.

Real challenge tbh is making the lowpoly as low as possible and baking the details good, as this is part of the tank.

Possibly I haven't decided what attachments to put on it yet. As for the 416 d I just did a google image search for a hk416 and that was the first pic to come up.

No I believe it is my 10th or so. I found some spare time to start trying to model again. It is my first non halo model though lol.

Render it properly, not some weird angle where nothing can be seen. And get rid of vibrant lights, use mainly white with a tint of colour if you want color.

And post a wireframe (wire + mesh).

At the moment I can't see anything :/

Sorry 2011 has slightly different material editor than 8 did. Also I believe my render settings need work because the wire frame doesn't show up on the clay model. Anyway here is what I was able to render.

It is not terrible, but it is not great.
It looks nice but there could be some cleaner modeling in places.
Also, there is a mass of triangles/polys where the stock connects, why?
